  • great family time away

"We had a great time and room for everyone! We took our 5 kids all under 12 and my parents. Everyone was happy and enjoyed the views. We took our oldest two Zip lining at lake Travis zip line adventure and we all loved it! The kids loved riding bikes on the driveway (is on a hill, so don't think it is flat)."

  • Spectacular view from most of the rooms in the house

"Villa Tramonto's management staff of Kathi and Jackie were such a pleasure to work with! That is a big plus when booking a place, and was one of the nicest things about staying there. What we liked most about this property was its natural, quiet setting. Beautiful views of the lake can be seen from almost every room. Our reaction when we first opened the front door was "wow." There are no houses across the lake, which is especially nice when you're sitting down at the dock- the perfect place to decompress. Just so you know, you do have neighbors on either side, and one house is quite close, but this doesn't affect the view or enjoyment of the property. The house was very comfortable and is cozier than it looks in the pictures. Make sure you check your thermostats before going to bed though. We were there in cool weather and the first night we all froze, especially those in the bunk room, since we didn't realize the temperature was set so low and there were only summer blankets available. When we tried to reset it in the middle of the night it would work for a couple of hours and then revert back to the original setting. Called Jackie the next day and she walked me through the steps to reset it. There probably were instructions somewhere on how to do this, and afterward it seemed pretty self explanatory, but in the flurry of everyone getting there and the ensuing excitement of being there, we didn't think to check anything. We were a group of thirteen, ages 23- 63 and had no problems with sleeping accommodations or bathrooms, but would hesitate bringing more people, since half of the 16 people the house accommodates would be in the bunk room, with four of them having to share the queen sized bunk. Also, the sleeping arrangements for the children (the bunk room) are totally isolated from the main part of the house. To go from the main floor to the bunk room and game room you have to take outside stairs that, though covered, still get wet and are out in the cold. Parents of young children would have to stay down there with them, which isn't too bad since the beds were comfortable. The pool is unheated and there is no hot tub, but there's plenty to do in the game room so we never felt like we missed out on anything, and the fire pit at night, with the stars overhead was amazing! The best thing to do there though, is nothing- just relax and hang out. The owners clearly want to make their guests feel comfortable, and it shows."

  • The Perfect Family Getaway

"The moment we arrived at Lago Vida, we felt relaxed and at home. The modern rustic decor gives Lago Vida a classic lake house feeling. Between my family of 4 combined with the in-law's family of 6, we had plenty of room for privacy, as needed. The house and everything in it was VERY CLEAN (most important to me). The appliances and furniture were very well kept and of great quality (super comfortable beds!!). Since November was unusually warm, we were able to swim!! The beautiful private swimming pool allowed us to get lots of sun while having enjoyable family fun-time. When we weren't in the pool we were exploring the grounds, fishing, and taking lots of pictures. The large dining table hosted our breakfasts, dinners, and family game nights!!! We all LOVED the fire pit, we toasted marshmallows and made s'mores! It was very exciting and memorable. The layout of the lake house is great as the kids ate popcorn and watched a movie downstairs while the adults had a few drinks at the upstairs bar area and watched a movie in the upstairs living room area. The huge balcony allowed for amazing views and private conversations. We will DEFINITELY go back to Lago Vida, at least twice a year!!! I plan to bring my professional camera for the amazing views and a good book for the serene balcony!!!"
