  • Great place.....a few minor issues...but would definitely recommend this condo!

"This condo is clean, well appointed, convenient to everything. We had everything we needed. It was quiet, and comfortable. The views were amazing, the porches/decks were wonderful! On the hot days it was great to have AC. We would definitely rent this condo again. Was nice having a really good wifi connection Beware that cell phone service is very spotty here and all over Stowe. ATT would not work inside the unit, had good connection only on the front porch area on occasion, and when standing in certain areas. Our minor issues were.....1) the drains in the master bathtub and the hall bath sink were VERY slow to drain, but since we were a group of 3 it wasn't that important to get maintenance up to fix it. 2) the hall bedroom with the queen bed is right next to the porch light. The porch light cannot be controlled by the unit and it shines bright all night...into the bedroom. It's like leaving the lights on in the room all night. Some room darkening shades or drapes would help, the light is so bright that nothing we did would make the room dark. If you like to sleep in total darkness, this is not the room for you. All in all, great trip, comfortable stay. Great place, the minor inconveniences were just that...minor, but some folks may find them helpful. Thank you for a really nice place to call home on our Stowe visit."

  • Perfect rural Vermont experience for the Summer!

"Our family spent 8 days/7 nights this July in the restored 1900 schoolhouse in Wolcott, VT. Although we have vacationed in VT numerous times over the past 15 years, we have primarily done so in the Burlington area and were looking for something a bit different. Being immersed in the rural beauty of Wolcott and slowing our pace to match the environment was exactly what we had hoped. The property itself was wonderful. The schoolhouse has a lot of character, (e.g., hardwood throughout, interior design with a local artisan-feel), with more than enough space for our family. The country kitchen, breakfast nook, and master bedroom with skylights were highlights of the interior that we specifically enjoyed. As lovely as the home itself was, the yard and mountain views were even better. Our 7 year old loved the trampoline, running around the well-maintained yard, using the tree swing, and relaxing with a book on the porch or on the Adirondack chairs in the yard. The panoramic views of the mountains are really beyond description. Since the property is situated high on a mountain road, views down in the valley with the mountains as the backdrop were gorgeous, especially in the morning and at sunset. The only potential negative for those considering this rental is its general location. It was perfect for our family as we enjoyed hanging around the local Wolcott, Hardwick, and Morrisville area, as well as taking day trips to Stowe/Waterbury, Montpelier, Burlington, and the NorthEast Kingdom, this won't be a good fit for those looking for an exciting 'nightlife' scene, etc. Finally, the property owner could not have been more helpful and welcoming to our family. She was a perfect balance of being engaged during the reservation/rental process while also allowing us to enjoy her home/property on our own. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our time at the schoolhouse, hopefully we'll be able to make this an annual tradition!"

  • Perfect Vermont Cabin

"I've been to this house in both winter and summer time. It is perfect for both. For the winter, its proximity to Killington is great, just a few miles to the lift. But when the weather was too nasty to ski, there's plenty to do inside the house and on the grounds of the property. Summer time we had just as much, if not more fun. The river and mountain on the property allow for lots of outdoor activities. The front porch, outdoor seating around the fire pit, and the Long Trail Brewery down the street are all fantastic places to enjoy a few frosty bronsons. The house was definitely worth the price of admission and it will not be the last time I visit."

  • Wonderful place

"Beautiful place to stay. Very convenient for skiing. The ski valet puts yours skis out in the morning and you just hop on the gondola. The pool was great and a nice warm temp for swimming outdoors in the winter. The rooms are very spacious and the beds are very comfortable. There are little shops and places to eat, you really never need to leave. The spa was amazing."
