  • This house is exceptionally well equipped for family enjoyment. Kayaks, boards, and floats

"We spent ten days in VT visiting our daughters and this house was the perfect for us. Commanding views of Split Rock Mountain across the water, a protected dock for swimming and boating, and proximity to Basin Harbor, made this location a rewarding way to experience the Champlain valley. The house is relatively new, everything works, and the owner, Angela, was delightful to work with. Please give this house careful consideration if you are looking for a wonderful lakefront location."

  • Cassie--Our Granddaughter's Wedding

"We were blessed to be a part of our granddaughter's wedding in Burlington, June 25. In preparation for the wedding, we looked for a place where 4 to 8 people, and a few more could stay. We went on line to VRBO and found 613 Mile Point Road. The stone house is magnificent with every amenity you could ask for. As you sit early in the morning in the Adirondack chairs...looking at the Adirondacks on the New York side, you will feel the magic of the lake. A cup of coffee in the morning will welcome the day, and a cocktail in the evening will signal the end. Sometimes, you can even exchange the two. Between these experiences, there are many things to see and do--Shelburne Museum, our favorite, Ben & Jerry's for ice cream fans, Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, Cabot Cheese, and Dakin Farms. But, at the end, you will always come back to the lake where swimming, canoeing, and kayaking is offered and wonderful. We have but two disappointments with our visit...it was not long enough, and we never saw Champ. Having dealt with Lynne Lear, she may well be Champ. We'll go back to find out. You should too."

  • Peaceful, serene summer week.

"My husband, two dogs and I just returned from a week's vacation, and had a perfect vacation for us. It was a perfect mix of quiet relaxation and sight seeing. The house is nicely decorated with antiques and feels cozy and comfortable. It really looks like the pictures here and on the website. Clean and everything in working order. All ammenities listed are accurate. The owner was very responsive to emails and accomodating when our deposit check literally took weeks to get to her! I also liked that there was an emergency contact person who lived close by in case we might have needed it. We chose to drive to the lakefront dock. It was fabulous! So peaceful and private. Our dog literally swam for hours! Just a note for dog owners who want to have their dogs off leash... even though there is a lot of property the house sits close to the road. It wasn't a problem for us, because our dogs are well trained and we were with them. This is a great place for two people or family gatherings. We really want to come back and maybe next time with family."
