  • Serene beauty

"This unique historic stop was well worth it. Our hostess was there when needed without being intrusive. The historic home is filled with amenities that leave you needing nothing else. Our daughter's enjoyed horse back riding and spending the day at Horse camp. They are still talking about the fun they had and can't wait to return next year."

  • Clean and inviting

"We had a wonderful time at Try N'Rest - such a clean, open and inviting cottage. Plenty of space to relax and enjoy! The porch is wonderful! The house is perfectly appointed and decorated - perfect for a quiet family get away."

  • Best vacation ever!

"My husband and I hadn't had a vacation for over 25 years. We were looking to scout out the area as a retirement possibility and came armed with printouts of homes for sale there. Both Mary and Captain Billy were as charming as they could be, helpful but not the least bit intrusive. The cabin was spotless and comfortable and reasonably priced. It is a relaxing setting and we really enjoyed our sunset cruise. The area is just beautiful. We will definitely be back."

  • Lovely Location

"Very spacious cottage right on the beach. Wonderful for our 55+ little group. Plenty of bedrooms for everyone. Sitting on the water with your toes in the sand made each day a delight! Board games and card games overlooking the bay was wonderful. After one heavy afternoon rain shower, a double rainbow lingered in the sky for almost an hour. Brilliant colors and wonderful location. Easy access to shopping in town and little restaurants. Very quiet sleepy town, very welcoming! Put the kayaks out right in front of the house and paddled down the shoreline waking up all the stingray early in the morning. They would often paddle along with us, and even bump the kayak to check us out. Heading over to Gwynns Island for seafood. Found a little place right on the water. We are coming back in a few months and plan to paddler over for lunch this time! We can't wait! Wonderful location, quiet area and private! Who could ask for more!!!"
