  • Nice and private, not far from town and great fishing.

"I've fished the local rivers for years and finally had a chance to bring the family with me to explore the area. The cabin is right on the Sol Duc river with easy access to a decent stretch of fishable water. And a short drive to other rivers such as the Hoh and Bogachiel. It's about a 15 minute drive to Forks where you will find a few restaurants, some shopping, a hospital, etc.. Stop on the way here and fill up a cooler or two. You are better off utilizing the kitchen and BBQ outside vs eating at the local restaurants. The cabin is small, but cozy. It was a little tight sometimes if all four of us were downstairs, but manageable. There is a wood burning stove and wall heaters in all rooms to keep the place warm. The porch is covered which comes in handy when it's pouring rain as it did most of our trip. The property is very private with a gate on the road that is locked most of the time to any non-resident traffic. One of the neighbors was chopping wood the day we checked in, but that was the only person we'd see from the property all week. Overall it was a really nice stay. It's rustic and the cabin could use a few minor improvements, but the location and privacy made up for any of that. It's a great home base if you want to hunt, fish or explore Olympic National Park which is close by. We went on some awesome hikes in the rain forest and plan on hitting the beaches next time we head down there."

  • Beautiful Location

"We loved every moment of the 6 days we spent at your cozy home. It was the perfect size for our family of four. It was stocked with all the amenities needed. The location was spectacular. Having direct access to the beach to tidepool was amazing. The view from the living room window was terrific. There were so many different kinds of birds. It was great to have the bird book there too to help identify the variety. We also enjoyed multiple sightings of otters, seals, sea lions, and even two orcas on our last evening. We couldn't have been more delighted. It was hard to leave such a beautiful location. We hope to come and stay again."

  • We loved it!!!!

"Very large and private. We had 16 people, lots of space for our kids to play, kayak, boating, hiking etc. Dale has everything there that you need and he's a wonderful host. We are hoping to come back again next year and probably many more after that. Thanks Dale!!!"

  • Wonderful place.

"You feel as if you are in the deep woods but you are only yards away from the highway. Beautiful view of the Sol Tuc River from the living and master bedroom."
