  • Cozy and vintage home on Hood Canal

"The "Nuthouse" is a lovely place in winter as well as summer! Our extended family spent New Year's weekend sharing memories and making new ones around the fire at the Nuss's this year. Comfortable couches, a spacious dining area, cozy bedrooms, all added up to a spectacular family gathering. I'd highly recommend this property. The owners are hospitable and helpful, going out of their way to make sure guests have a great experience!"

  • Wonderful place to escape and enjoy friends

"So a group of us Millennial's (6) went to Shep's Castle to celebrate birthdays. This place had everything we needed for a weekend getaway and although some reviews said it was small, we found it had ample space for our needs. Cabin was nicely furnished, including wood for the fireplace which we really appreciated this as it was raining when we arrived and the fire took the edge off. We walked the beach when the rain subsided as the natural beauty found here was replenishing. We found ourselves playing board games and listening to the rain. Some of us were able to get a wifi signal but honestly most of us are of the age that had all of us been able to connect, we probably wouldn't have 'connected', so it was perfect. This was a chunk of change for us as we (the friends who paid) don't make a ton of money, but it was SO worth it!! We had a great time cooking, laughing, eating and chilling and actually talking to one another. Would highly recommend this place."

  • Found Treasure

"The Cove is truly a found treasure! A warm, roomy, 2 bath,, 3 bedroom, inviting home with everything your family needs for a perfect vacation. My husband and I took our two adult girls, their partners and their dogs to the Cove for a weeks stay. The house was so roomy, the kitchen completely outfitted for all needs. We cooked, played games (they have a spectacular collection), had bon fires, dug for clams and oysters. They have boats for use, badminton nets across the street at the park. It was just lovely. A State park down the road, the park across the street and ONP a short drive away. We will definitely come back to the Cove. It was one of the best vacations we have EVER had. Thank you memories that we will share for a lifetime. Dawn Marie"
