  • All Around Great Place, Awesome for Our Large Group

"We arrived tired and irritable after a long flight from the East Coast, rental car woes, and kids who needed naps. We weren't in very good spirits and just needed to chill. There were a few things we needed and the owner, Misti, was so sweet and helpful getting us settled. She was just a doll, and we could tell right away that she took our comfort seriously. We felt bad for being so grumbly but she understood and didn't take offense. She was quick to point out one deck chair that had a 1" strip of webbing missing and we laughed at how that could be an issue. She mentioned a guest had left a bad review about it. At that moment I made a mental note to leave her property a good review, since we all know it's only the complainers who ever feel inspired enough to log on and gripe about stuff. The manor couldn't have been more perfect for our large family. The kids just loved the horses, pool, the game room, the trails, the pokemon, the volleyball. Us big kids loved the hot tub, beautiful views, comfortable beds, and ease of getting the whole family in one place and comfortably so. The house isn't perfect, but we are talking minor stuff. Like one drawer was a little hard to pull out in the kitchen and the outdoor bar had a small tear in the awning. And in the spirit of full disclosure we did have to ask for extra bar towels in the kitchen and we ran out of TP during our stay, which the caretaker was quick to replenish. Certainly nothing that could detract from the gorgeous house and grounds, unless you are a complete jerk looking for a problem. We felt very lucky to have this house to ourselves, and loved every minute of it. Oh, did I forget the blackberries? There are blackberry bushes with the largest berries I have ever seen around the property. We made 4 delicious pies during our stay! The kids got to ride, we had a really fun scavenger hunt, the runners in our family loved the Chehalis trail so near by. I can't say enough great things about this house and farm. The week went way too fast, but we are sure to come back!"

  • Fantastic Place, just a few things to know ahead of time...

"We loved our stay here. I especially appreciated the kind and efficient communication with the owner! We liked the location a lot because it isn't too far from Seattle and it is right on the beach. It is also close to Lake Cushman activities and Hoodsport (grocery story and ICE CREAM parlors). The cabin is definitely rustic, but clean with all the modern things you need like a bathroom, shower with good water pressure, running water, tv with dvd only... :) My absolute favorite thing about this property was the deck with a big round picnic table on it. The view was great and it was so nice to sit out there in the morning and read with my coffee and later in the day we played cards and could even eat around the table, which fits 6 adults nicely (we had 5 adults + 2 little kids around it). What I think is important to know is that since you need to stay off the neighbor's property, the beach access you do have is steep, so was difficult to impossible for our older family members to navigate. Another thing to note is that none of the bedrooms have doors on them. We made it work and everything else was so great that this wasn't a major problem, but we were surprised at first and I think it is good to know what to expect. You can still change clothes in the bathroom or in privacy if no one walks in the room. Lastly, there aren't curtains on the bedroom windows, except for one in the master, but it is sheer. As an adult, this wouldn't be a problem for going to sleep (it gets dark around 9pm during the summer), but it made for a bit of a challenge to get our little ones to sleep (no door + lots of light). Don't get me wrong, this place is so great, which is why I give it 5 stars, and we will be back, but I think it's good to know ahead of time about some of the quirks so that you are totally pleased with your stay! Thank you Cynthia for a great time!"

  • Lovely space to be with friends!

"We spent two nights at The Parsonage with another couple as we were attending a wedding. Mary was available and very helpful in answering questions about her lovely home and it's history. She made healthy, from scratch, tasty breakfasts and allowed us to use her kitchen for our needs. We loved spending time on the back porch and in the hot tub, catching up with friends and very comfortable in the space. Mary even went the extra step by mailing me my forgotten phone charger!!"

  • Family Dream Getaway!

"Our family had the most wonderful time staying at Pebble Beach. With two young children, it can be difficult to find a place of comfort away from home but Linda and Greg made this our favorite family trip ever! The home is beautiful with lots of space. The view was unbelievable and we enjoyed our peaceful mornings looking out on the water snuggled up with the kiddos. If you're ever in the Union area, staying at Pebble Beach is a must!"
