  This place was just what we needed to be able to spend time in Washington, DC. It was comfortable and close to the Metro and places to eat and shop. It was easy to find. I would recommend it to anyone who will be traveling to DC as a great place to stay.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

  What a great place to stay for us, a family of four from the Netherlands! Directly we felt at home, everything worked properly and it was very clean to! Near shops and Metro. The neighborhood is very quiet and no traffic at all. When we were tired from walking all the highlights from DC, it was good resting here. Thanks for feeling at home! One chair at the table needs a repair, just like the one at my home!! Many greetings from Robert, Marielle, Bart en Marijn! And a big DOEI!!

  This was a very quiet place to stay, and very clean. We didn't know there was anyone else around. And Ben was very accommodating when we had questions. Definitely recommend to others.

  Very nice place to stay in a quiet area. Had to contact owner one time for an issue and he was over the next day..and by next day I mean we contacted him around 1130 at night and he was there right around midnight with what we needed. The location to the Metro was great after we found the shortest walk to take, but mostly we just drove over in 5 min and paid the $4.50 per day to park. Was much easier with 2 strollers. Very clean and comfy. Lots of good area attractions pamplets available on table. Only suggestion I would have to make is to add some more stuff in the kitchen. We had steak one night and only had one knife to use. (Im sure sadly some stuff walks off at the end of some peoples stay) Other then that everything was right there available such as towels, bed linens and such. If there is something you dont have, or cant find, that you think should be available, give Ben a call and you will likely have it in a very short period of time. If we go back to DC, will be looking to book here again. Thanks!!

  After staying at this property for one week, it is clear to me that opinions must be taken with some very large grains of sand. If you expect a model home done by Martha Stewart, this is not for you. If you expect to be in the city of DC, a few blocks from the mall, check the map before you rent, this is not the place for you. If you want a condo, a couple of blocks off the Metro line in a quiet neighborhood, that is what this is. We (a family of 4) found the location to be an excellent base for our one week stay. We went to DC for the day, and came back when we tired the kids out and our day was done. The owner of the property was service oriented and was only a phone call away if we had any questions, concerns or needs. His wife provided some excellent suggestions for places to eat in the area that we were staying, we took advantage of that. If you do not have an auto during your stay, there is a grocery store across the street from the condo complex. If you do have an auto, travel a couple of miles down the road and take advantage of the Wegman's grocery by the interstate... we did on a regular basis. There is also a Costco in the same area that can be very helpful (if you are a member). The place is clean, comfortable, convenient and everything there works just fine. We were pleasantly surprised with how quiet the area was at night... we slept with the windows open and were not disturbed at any time. The only drawback we encountered is that the unit needs to be painted. Unless you plan on spending all day sitting in the condo, I do not see where this is the basis to provide a bad rating to the property. From my conversation with Ben, he is aware that this needs to be done and is planning on addressing it as soon as his rental schedule opens up so he does not have to inconvenience any of the guests, very understandable from my perspective. Overall my family was very happy with this rental unit and would recommend it to friends and strongly consider staying there the next time we come back to DC.

  The location of the property was very good in relation to the metro and other convienences. The condition of the rental was fair to poor. The walls need painting, kitchen counters need replacing, furniture needs repair and the bath towels are the size of hand towels. The overall cleanliness needs work. Along with a good location the owner, Ben is very responsive and even helped us find our way to the rental when we were lost. We did not spend a lot of time at the rental because we were very busy sight seeing.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing.

  The owners of the apartment were very helpful. We had numerous things go wrong with the apartment within 24 hours of arrival - one of the toilets plugged up (twice during our stay actually) coffee pot was broken, sofa bed fell apart - and the owners were great at coming in to fix up everything. The apartment was spacous, well laid out and the decor very comfortable. The shopping for groceries was just across the street form the complex and very easily accessable. Getting to the metro was a quick 2-3 minute drive to the parkade then one train all the way in to DC. I found the master bed to be less than comfortable mainly because the bed had an allergy plastic wrapping under the too large mattress pad that kept moving under me and tangling me up in my sleep. The suite itself could use a coat of paint and new carpets but otherwise was quite nice. I don't think I would stay so far from Washington DC if I were to return in the future. It was too far to go back and forth from mid-way through the day, and once our kids were tired we had to call it quits and return all the way to Largo.

  I appreciated the opportunity to host my brother, sister-in-law and nephew in an affordable "home away from home". I was stationed at Andrews AFB years ago and my family had never been to Washington DC. It was a wonderful reunion as well as an opportunity to share the history of our nation. My nephew was so excited and we were able to end our day relaxing, playing board games, and visiting. We were also able to cook many of our meals and dine as a family. The unit was clean and well maintained and within walking distance of the Largo Metro Station at the end of the blue line. Stores and restaurants were accessible and Ben was very helpful prior to and during our stay. The only suggestion I would make is to have more than one set of keys as often people want to go separate ways. There may have been one in the unit, but I didn't think about it until we had only a few days left. I appreciated the opportunity to make this experience possible for my family, and would recommend it to others.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

  I am very late in submitting this review myself. I see that Ben did submit a portion of my review. I would like to take this time to expand on my review. I stayed here with my husband, son, daughter and mother-in-law. We were all quite comfortable. The condo is clean, cozy and decorated tastefully. We stayed here to attend my college graduation which was in Alexandria, Va. We also did quite a bit of sightseeing in Washington, D.C. and found this location to be convenient to all. Ben recommended "Ebbitt's Grill" for a somewhat formal dinner and we were quite pleased with this establishment. I would recommend reservations. Thank you for the use of your condo. I would definetly stay again and recommend to friends and family. Our host Ben was accessible and hospitable. Carolyn
