Casa Nicola

My husband and I just spent 2 weeks here during the Christmas holiday and loved it. The location is great and the apartment was perfect. The only flaw might be that the apt didn't have wi-fi but the owners left a laptop for us to use that kept us in contact with family back home. The owner was always available via email or phone to suggest eateries and shops. I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and hope to return myself!

Owner response:hi it was great having you in our apt, you were the perfect guests. I am sorry you had problems with the wi-fi, usually it works fine, I'll have a technician fix it at once. ciao ciao Rosalba

A Perfect Florentine Apartment

A friend and I spent three weeks at Casa Nicola in November 2011. From the welcoming meeting with RosAlba the owner to the farewell phonecalls we could not have hoped for more. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very comfortable with two comfy sofas in the living room and a charming light and airy bedroom with large double bed. We were two single people so had a "room" each - I had the sitting room and the most comfortable sofabed I have ever slept on (and I have slept on many) which was easy to open and close. The Kitchen/dining room was well equipped and had a charming view over the rooftops. Sadly it was a bit too chilly for us to use the terrace which was up a staircase from the kitchen but I can imagine how great it would be to have coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings in warmer weather. It would be a tiny bit cramped for 4 people I think but was perfect for the two of usand would also be good for 3. The 42 stairs from street level kept us fit and able to work off all the pasta! Casa Nicola is in a perfect position right next to Piazza Santa Croce and thus only minutes away from all the main sites in Florence. We could be in The Uffizi in less than 10 minutes and the same to the Duomo. Shopping again was only minutes away and it is close to the "Florentine's" market of San Ambroglio, so much more fun than the tourist market of San Lorenzo. We could not have hoped for a better home in Florence and sincerely hope to go back again. Thankyou rosaalba for making our stay in Florence such a wonderful one.

An Excellent Choice

Date of Stay: 05/14/11 Review Submitted: 08/24/11

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful apartment for a week in May. One of the main features we were looking for was a balcony as we like to enjoy our meals outside. Casa Nicola's balcony was perfect. A fun, cleverly constructed spiral staircase leads to the little patio from the kitchen -- convenient. The online description and photos of the apartment are very accurate and, in fact, the rooms were even more spacious than we had expected. The apartment was clean, well-maintained and the kitchen well-stocked for cooks. The living room is also stocked with a number of helpful guides, books about the city and cookbooks. Rosalba was extremely helpful to the point of arranging parking for us for the week, meeting us at the garage and even helping us with our luggage. Her energy and enthusiasm were a great introduction to Firenze. One of her best tips was the nearby S. Ambrogio market. If you like to cook, this market is heaven. We would absolutely recommend this property.

Excellent clean apartment right in centre of florence

Guest: Paula (Ireland)
Date of Stay: 06/03/11 Review Submitted: 06/24/11

We stayed here for a week with a six month old baby and the place was really lovely. It's a great location, just off santa croce so it's in the heart of city yet it's still really easy to slip down some side streets for peace and quiet. It's perfectly clean, loads of room, even with baby, and it's cosy enough to relax in at night time also. Rosalba also took care of any problem as soon as possible. Overall, would recommend it for sure.

Owner response:Dear Paula thank you very much for your nice review. As we like children so much, we have been happy to have your wonderfull baby in CasaNIcola. We really hope to host you again

my husband and i needed somewhere to stay while visiting our daughter who was studying in florence. WHAT a gem!!! the apartment is awesome from start to finish. we arrived by train late at night and nicola was VERY gracious when he met us at the apartment and showed us all its amenities. i wish we would have been able to stay a few more days - we didn't get to spend enough time on the rooftop sitting area... so very quaint. if we ever return to florence, we will definitely contact rosalba again!!!!

Owner response:Thanks a lot Pam your review make me proud of my son and proud to have guests so special as you are. I hope to host you again

Everything about Casa Nicola was perfect. The location was convenient, the accommodations splendid and best of all Rosabla was helpful in getting situated and moved in. The wi-fi worked perfectly for keeping in touch, the kitchen was well-stocked with equipment and the bathroom and bedroom linens were lush and plentiful. It will be a long time before I forget my home away from home in Florence and look forward to my next visit at Casa Nicola. Thanks for everything!!

Owner response:Thank you so much for your wonderful review, we are very happy you enjoied the apartment. We are looking forward to meet you again.
