Our Location is
considered by many to be the most desirable place to live (the 'Guadiana' neighborhood) in San Miguel because of it's safety, level walking surfaces and the proximity to many shops, restaurants and the 'Instituto Allende' for art and language classes. We are on the edge of the historic area.
THIS IS OUR HOME.........
This is a two-story townhouse with a beautiful landscaped courtyard garden and fountain.
WE RENT our home while we travel in the early Spring, from about April 15 to late Summer, or about October 15.

THE HOUSE is close to the 'Instituto Allende', St. Paul's Church, markets, U.U. services, and the 'Centro'. One block from the 'restaurant row' of the Ancha de San Antonio.
The open market in Colonia San Antonio on Sundays is a short walk away. The historic center is about a 15 minutes walk (or by a 5 peso bus).
Torah studies are further along. Taxis and buses are cheap and plentiful.

THE ROOF TRERRACES have beautiful panoramic views of the mountains including the famous 'Parroquia' church. The roof terraces have a painter's easel, sink, telescope, table, 4 chairs and a hammock.

ALL UTILITIES: (gas, water and electric)are included. A cell phone is provided for your convenience when traveling about town or to the rest of Mexico. All linens are here. The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee maker, ice cream maker, bread maker, toaster and microwave. There is a new stove and a new large french door refrigerator/freezer. All water is treated in the roof tank and there are filters at the faucets. We use this city water for everything except drinking and have had no problems.

MAID SERVICE is provided twice a week. You have nothing to do but enjoy your visit to San Miguel.

No children, No pets, No smokers.

  • Washer: Clothes washing machine is in the flowered rear private patio of home. Then dry your clothes on the patio clothes lines.

  • Gas Fireplace: But, probably not needed in the summer.

  • Full Kitchen: New stove. New french door refrigerator w/bottom freezer. Ice cream maker. Bread maker, Microwave. Everything that you may need to cook or bake. New tile countertop and cabinets.
  • Cooking Utensils Provided: All provided. Not minimal, Everything....
  • Refrigerator: New large 'french door' refrig with bottom freezer.
  • Microwave: Large, on counter.
  • Catering Available: This town delivers just about everything from pizza, tacos, fish and fried chicken meals to Japanese lunches.
• Outdoor Features
  • Deck/Patio: The front flowered courtyard with fountain is beautiful. A rear flowered 'working' patio. With extra space for clothes washing/drying.
  • Balcony: There is a morning balcony off the den on the second floor that overlooks the entrance and courtyard with fountain. The rear balcony from the master bedroom leads up to the three terraces (one is covered for shade) with great views of the city and mountains. The telescope can be used on the highest deck.
  • Lanai: This Eastern covered and lighted roof terrace has a table for four and a place to hang a hammock, good for day or night.
• View/Location
  • Mountain View: We are in the Sierra Madres mountains of central Mexico. Surrounded by mountains, we are in the city, with views of the lights on the hills and city churches at night. The best views at this price and location.
  • Monument View: Look at the 'Paroquia' from the roof terrace. Statues are everywhere in this city of 140,000 people. (8000 +/- English speaking)
• Communications
  • Telephone: One cell phone provided, can use Yahoo messenger if you have an account with them.
  • Free Long Distance: Local establishments offer free Vonage to their customers. I use Yahoo messenger in the house.
  • Cell Phone: One included. We start you off with credit. You will buy more air time as needed.
  • Computer: A modern PC computer with wireless internet and printer is provided. Wireless is throughout the house and roof terraces. Bring your laptop if ypu wish. With your own headset you could call long distance through 'Yahoo Messenger'.
  • Broadband Internet: Furnished by the local TV Cable company. Basic speed cable is provided. Higher speeds are your option.
  • WiFi (Wireless Internet): YES. Use on the roof, upstairs, downstairs or in the courtyard.
• Other Amenities
  • We are located in a safe and quiet gated compound of seven homes. There are two security cameras and a monitor in the den. One camera at the street entrance door and the other at the house front door. This can eliminate your running to answer the door for a flower vender, etc.
• Suitability
  • No Pets Allowed: Sorry, those are the condo rules. We also do not have children in this 7 unit compound. Makes for a quiet environment. We do not have smokers in the house.
  • Senior Adults Only Community: All mature travelers are welcome. Senior age is not a requirement, but we are all retired senior citizens in this close knit 7 unit compound.
  • Not Suitable for Children: Sorry, condo rules....and we prefer mature adults.
  • Minimum Age Limit for Renters: Must be mature in age and actions.
  • Smoking Not Allowed: Smokers, please do not inquire. Guests are not allowed to smoke on the premises, please, including the courtyard and roof terraces.
