A great place to experience the beauty of the area while enjoying world class outdoor sculptures. There's a great walking/jogging and bicycle path that runs through Myrtle Edwards Park and into Elliott Bay Park.
Sure, you can see the top of it from our living room, but many love to visit the city's most recognizable icon, take in the views from the observation deck, and maybe even enjoy a meal in the rotating restaurant at the top.
At 1st Ave and Pike Street, you'll find the main entrance to Seattle's beloved Pike Place Market. Enjoy the beautiful flowers, be entertained by the flying fish, marvel at the selection of excellent produce, and explore the hidden gems down below.
Home to the Seattle Symphony, and venue for many amazing performances year round. It is one of the most revered acoustical accomplishments for concert halls. There truly isn't a bad seat in the house for taking in a wonderful musical experience.
A *wonderful* vista point to take in a full view of Seattle. This is the view that they tried to show in the TV show Frasier. You get the Space Needle, Mt. Rainier, downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay, the Olympic Mountains, and more all from one little park. You'll see about a million couples taking their picture here. What can we say, it's kinda romantic!
Looking for a fun daytrip? Take a ferry to Bainbridge Island! Enjoy a short 30 minute (each way) water journey across the way to Bainbrdige Island. You basically walk off the ferry directly into the downtown area of the island. There are arts events, wine tastings, and plenty of places to eat when you get there.
About the owner: We are Seattle-ites raising a young son, and are excited to have the chance to introduce people to our fair city.
Our favorite things to do include going to live music performances, eating at many of Seattle's amazing restaurants, and cooking up our own special meals at home.
Having a child has introduced us to many of the kid-friendly activities in the city, but we like to stay on top of the many other cultural and arts/entertainment goings-on in town.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo: We LOVE LOVE LOVE to walk around our city. Whether you consider yourself an urban hiker, or prefer a low-key stroll through a neighborhood, walking in the city is one of our favorite things to do when we're here. We love going to see live music performances - whether it is a show at the Crocodile Cafe, a classical performance at Benaroya Hall, or catching a jazz show at Jazz Alley or The Triple Door.
The Pike Place Market is, of course, one of the main tourist attractions in town, but it is such an important part of what makes Seattle Seattle, AND it is an amazing place to buy or just taste some wonderful food, wine, and all kinds of special treats.
If you have time, take your pick of any of Seattle's vibrant neighborhoods and discover the distinct personalities of each of them.
