This quaint little villa exceeds its descriptions by a mile. The property itself is not only situated perfectly between the small town of Biarritz and the rich country of Spain, but maintains a perfect balance of quiet privacy and urban proximity. The villa itself has a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect environment for families and guests of any age. The outdoor pool is a great asset for a sunny day, for which there are many, ensuring many days of lounging around or in the pool. Overall great experience with the family, had a lot of fun sightseeing and touring the rich history of Bayonne, and enjoying Basque cuisine from the Basque Country in Spain.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We stayed here with our family for two weeks in July. It was fabulous. The villa was large enough for our family and the master bedroom upstairs gave me and my wife plenty of privacy. The pool was great and the kids spent most of the time outside. The house is beautiful. It's a classic Basque-style house with a large family area downstairs. The dining table was long and large enough for the entire family including the kids. The house was cool even though it was hot outside. The yard is beautifully landscaped and you can see mountains in the distance. The house is very close to several beaches and not far from the main beach of Biarritz. Biarritz itself is wonderful -- the shopping was great and the beach was perfect. There were plenty of great restaurants very close. The house was clean and well maintained. Many of the appliances were new. There was laundry in the house as well which was convenient. There was Internet and a TV, though we didn't use them much. We drove to several of the nearby towns, including St Jean De Luz and San Sebastian in nearby Spain. They're both amazingly beautiful towns and very close by. We also took a trip up into the mountains to the Basque town of Sare, where there are more sheep than people. We had lunch at a traditional, small restaurant and did some shopping there. It was wonderful. The owners were easy to work with and very accommodating. In all, it was an amazing vacation and we loved it. We hope to go back again.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We had dreams of what Biarritz might be like: sun-dazzled beaches, delicious dining, fresh markets, sophisticated shopping, etc. What we found was a place even more magical than what we imagined. First, the home: sun-dazzled, gleaming, airy, tastefully artistic, comfortably elegant...a classic vacation villa, ideally located. We read by the pool, made breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen, and slept blissfully in the quiet evening breezes, sometimes awakened (not too early!) by church bells. Between the house and the beach, our vacation could have been complete! But, of course, Biarritz offers more: We were whisked there from Paris by high-speed train, an incredibly civilized way to travel. We strolled its streets and sampled the local (Basque-influenced) cuisine, from elegant cakes with jam in the morning to perfectly (and simply) prepared seafood in the evening. Biarritz is also an ideal base for day trips: San Sebastian for tapas and cobblestone alleyways above the perfect harbor. The Pyrennes for a tram ride and hiking among the pines. The countless charming villages and vineyards and out-of-the-way eateries that pop up along the winding country roads east of Bayonne. We can't say enough about this fantastic villa, or the fabulous seaside town of Biarritz.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
