This first floor, two-bedroom, one-bath apartment is vintage Spanish-meets-Art Deco, unique to Los Angeles' architecture from the 1920s. This apartment sleeps six and is located near some of the best restaurants, shopping and nightlife in Los Angeles. Wood floors throughout, lots of windows and floor length curtains make this apartment feel more like a home.
The spacious living room maintains the decorative charm of the original fireplace mantel, wall sconces and contemporary furnishings that include an L-shaped sleeper-sofa and flat-screen television. A picture window looks out to the residential tree-lined street. The living room opens to the separate dining room through a wide archway. It has a contemporary wood dining table seating six, original built-in glass door cabinets and a nook with a desk, chair and coat closet. The kitchen is accessible from the dining room and the hallway, providing circular flow. It is completely remodeled with oak cabinetry, Saltillo floor tiles and brown and black granite countertops. Stainless steel appliances include a gas stove/oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, built-in microwave, and customary countertop appliances. The kitchen also has a built-in desk.
Down the hall is the bathroom, built-in linen cabinets, a utility closet and two bedrooms. The bathroom has a separate tub-and-shower stall and has been restored, keeping with the historical footprint, with subway tile and hexagon floor tiles and a new pedestal sink. The guest bedroom is light and inviting, with two twin beds with white-and-black duvets, a closet and a ceiling fan. The master bedroom has a king bed with soothing green duvet cover and suede dressing chair, a large wall-mounted dressing mirror, a walk-in closet, a flat-screen television and a ceiling fan. The master bedroom looks out onto the community backyard and patio, furnished with table, chairs and barbeque grill.
Just outside the master bedroom is a private laundry room with a stacked washer/dryer and access to the community backyard, patio and parking. One-car parking space is included. There is central heating and a wall-mounted air-conditioning unit in the living room and complimentary wi-fi and cable. Dogs allowed for an extra fee.
