  • Awesome Property

"We visited Belize for three weeks with the first two planned and the last week open. We enjoyed the condo and Hopkins area so much we decided to spend our last week where we were. As far as value, we paid more for the car we rented than the studio we stayed at. The condo was better than advertised and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting this area. A vehicle was very helpful but extremely expensive. Would strongly recommend not using Avis as we just got an additional bill for over $700 after paying them over $80/day. Another excellent restaurant is the Sandy Beach restaurant that is right on the beach and very reasonable. If you like to kayak we paddled over to another resort for a breakfast buffet with the added thrill of seeing a couple of grazing Manatees that surfaced about 20 feet from us. If you like to ride horses, Outpost Trails is a very special place with good horses and only a couple of miles South of the Sittee River turnoff from the Southern Highway. The condo is a special place that greatly enhanced our visit in this area."

  • Unbelievable

"We spent a week a Villa Verona and I didn't want to ever leave. The house itself is beautiful and well cared for. There are many excursions to see and do and a beautiful big pool steps from the ocean. The village of Hopkins was small and the locals are all so very friendly. The staff at the villa are exceptional and always there to help with anything, whether you are booking an excursion or even need something from the store. Liz and Louis were very attentive and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning again."

  • ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

"My husband and I honeymooned in Hopkins and had a wonderful time!! We are positive that this was absolutely a result of staying at the Blue Moon Cabana! We loved hanging out daily on the porch or underneath the palapa in our own yard, taking a dip in the sea, and having a beautiful, comfortable place to call home for the two weeks we spent in Belize! Mirko and Annette were absolutely great the entire time we were at the BMC. Anything that we needed (from organizing transportation from Dangriga airport to Belize, to a trip to the Mayan ruins, to help with laundry), we just called Mirko! He loaned us a local cell phone so he was literally a phone call away at all time! Even on rainy days, the Blue Moon Cabana was an amazing place to be. Although there is no AC, the house is situated to perfectly catch the cool breezes that are common when close to the sea! The beach in front of the house is raked almost daily, and the entire property both inside and out is beautifully kept! One last thing that I hope will sway you to have a stay at the Blue Moon Cabana...on our last day, some communication confusion resulted in our previously arranged driver to the airport being unavailable. Rather than saying "not my problem," Mirko stepped in and drove my husband and I to the airport himself. I'm telling you, we could not have asked for a better person to have our backs during our first visit to Belize. He is truly awesome, as is the Blue Moon Cabana! You will not be disappointed!"

  • Amazing home and location

"We came here with our 3 year old daughter, 17 year old son and his friend. The home was a perfect size for the five of us. The home is spectacular... It has everything you need - beach chairs, snorkel gear, kayaks, equipped kitchen, bicycles. If you wanted to just stay in town you can get around by bike or rent a golf cart. If you want to go hiking and see ruins, you'll need a car. We flew into belize city, rented a car, and drove the 2-ish hours through the spectacular jungle. A worthy site. The water was absolutely stunning... Very shallow and calm which was great with a 3 year old. Within a close distance there is hiking and Mayan ruins. There are also plenty of companies that you can charter out to the barrier reef. The people in Hopkins were so laid back and fun. The town is small with a dirt road but there are plenty of good restaurants and bars. Make sure to bring enough cash with you! There is not an ATM that will take foreign debit cards in town. We had to drive to Placencia. Most places do not take credit cards and if they do you must contend with them being down. The supermarket is simp,e without a huge variety but plenty to cook with. For us it was an amazing vacation that we plan on repeating. I have never returned so relaxed from a vacaction before. It was fun for all ages... Highly recommend it!"
