"My family and I stayed in the Sunset Suite at Coconut Row and had THE most amazing time. The location right on the beach just can't be beat and you're within easy walking distance of everything in Hopkins, so you don't need a vehicle. Damian, Coconut Row's owner and his great staff, arranged for any travel we needed, whether that was a ride from the airport or to and from any of the many activities that they will set up for you. We ate so much amazing, fresh food while we were there, we were not looking forward to returning home. My teenage son even said that the thought of fast food was completely unappealing after our week of eating our way up and down the village. There was no TV and no cell service on our phones, so we had fantastic family time, playing the games and reading the books that were provided in the suite, swimming, relaxing on the beach, and exploring the village and meeting really nice people every day. If we get a chance, we will definitely be back as "repeat coconuts"!"

"Paul and Karen's place is a comfortable, lovely, welcoming home. It's a great place to sling a hammock in the shade of the palms and fall asleep to the sound of the waves. We were not quite prepared for the grocery stores (ah, how I missed Wegmans), so packing snacks as others suggested is a good idea. Try freezing the fresh coconut water in ice cube trays and dropping them into mixed drinks or cola - yum! There are a number of good places to eat nearby (the Curve Bar at the Marina) and in town (Innies) and if you can catch some Garifuna drumming, it's well worth it; be sure to get up and dance! So is the Mayan Chocolate "factory" in nearby Maya Center - now that's what chocolate should taste like."

"My family & I (two adults & two kids ages 13 & 10) visited Sarkiki in April 2015. The drive from the airport is quiet long but the views are well worth it. We would recommend renting a car (we did) that way you can explore what the country has to offer. We were the only ones there for three days of our stay which was great! Linda was super easy to work with and answered every question we had in a timely fashion (usually within hours)! The staff are just awesome - Epi, Lisa, Manuel, Ruben, Gregory, the list goes on and on. You need anything just ask and you will get it! When we got there they showed us unit 5 which only had two beds. We had asked Linda ahead of time for a unit that could accommodate an extra twin bed. When we mentioned this to Epi he hopped right on it and we ended up with Unit 6. It was perfect. Rooms are large & the beds were very comfortable. There is only AC in the bedrooms which took us a bit by surprise but there is a fan in the living area which helped make it a little more comfortable when inside. We asked Epi for a second fan and he showed right up with it. You'll spend most of your time outside. There was a constant breeze which made it lovely to just sit by the pool and see the ocean. The beach was dirty and there was a TON of seaweed. But the staff raked it up every morning right in front of the resort. Because of the seaweed we did not venture out into the ocean. We would have loved to snorkle but the sea was a bit rough the entire time we were there. Epi arranged a snorkle trip with Patrick (he works at the local Marina) but we had to cancel it because the sea was rough. We ate mostly in but did go out for a few meals. We ate at Frog's, Tina's kitchen, Chef Rob's, Belizean Dreams, and a pizza joint right on the main road in Hopkins. All were tasty and we would recommend all of them. We shopped at Happy Store (takes credit cards) & Dong Lee's (cash only). It wasn't what we expected but we were able to get by between the two of them. We also found a bigger grocery store in Belmopan which we shopped at a few times. As far of activities we cave tubed at St. Herman's Cave (highly recommend), went to the Mayan ruins (ask Epi for a suggestion as to which one to visit), and rented dune buggy's from Woogie Buggy (right in town). Lastly, Alvin, Epi & Lisa's son was just charming! Smart and super funny! Super happy that we got to spend 4 days with him. Views=stunning!"

"One of the nicest homes on Hopkins beach! The house includes absolutely everything you could possibly need and things you didn't even realize you would. Great, quiet location, but close enough to restaurants, tours and groceries. So much to do in the area (jungle hikes, cave tubing, ruins, zipline, scuba/snorkel, river kayaking) and all activities leave you with a sense of WOW. You can only relax on the beach or enjoy the same view in the nice shade of the amazing balcony. Just super in every way!"
