  • Casa Paquita - Spotless on the Beach

"Our trip to Tamarindo was a long-promised family vacation where we wanted to experience something exotic, but wanted the comfort of a warm shower and nice accommodations each night. We were made to feel at home from the minute we arrived at Casa Paquita. Both the Concierge (Paola) and the housekeeper (Noami) not only greeted us warmly, they were with us throughout our stay making sure our every needs were met - whether it was arranging for zip line adventures, kayaking trips, scuba dives or simply a pot of coffee each morning. The crew made our trip effortless and enjoyable. Naomi was affable and available in addition to keeping the place spotless throughout our stay. Now, for the house! It is AMAZING. An infinity pool that was kept leaf-clean each day by the pool-boy and the spacious areas inside that had plenty of space for all of our troupe (3 young adults between 18 and 24, my mom and the two of us) to have their own space, ...or gather around the huge farm-house table that over-looks the pool and the glorious sunsets. The bedrooms are spacious and the common areas comfortable for lounging around. The best thing we can say is that the place was just as it is represented by the photos in the ad. We cooked most of our meals on site, but also enjoyed the short drive or modest walk to Tamarindo - where there are a few, but enough, nice restaurants and bars to stroll into on an off-day or each evening. The roads there were unpaved so the ride / walk was a bit bumpy, but did not take long. We walked into town for ice cream one evening and felt completely safe. During the day, the walk included a view of the resting howler monkey's hanging around in the trees. (Yes, it's safe, mom! All the monkey's want is to be observed and left alone.) If we had to give two heads-up, it would be to be sure you have a good map to get there as the roads are all two lane and not well-marked. And, that the internet was very slow. Although, on one hand a week "off the grid" was nice, keeping up with emails and other internet services was at dial-up speeds. All in all, a wonderful stay we would do again and recommend to any of our friends."

  • Perfect Home in Nosara

"This was the perfect rental for a surf vacation. Close to lots of other activities such as fishing, snorkeling, and ziplining. The owner of this house shared lots of local knowledge before our arrival and made our visit very comfortable. Jackie the housekeeper, was awesome! She is a great cook and helped us to really enjoy the experience because of her local knowledge. The house was always clean and really comfortable. This is a GREAT place to stay!"

  • Great place to stay!!

"This villa was amazing! We are a family of 5 and it was nice that everyone had their own beds to sleep in and own private space! There are 2 living areas and the whole villa has separate air conditioners making it easy for temperature control! The villa is stunning and is bigger than the pictures show! The pool is 2 steps from your patio door and while it is shared with the other 4 villas, you would never know it - it was like we had our own private pool! The beach is a 2 minute walk from the villa which is so convenient and is walkable to the surf shop and restaurants. Nir was so easy to work with and he responded to all our questions! We would for sure not hesitate to stay here again!! (Please note that you would need a rental car if staying in Playa Grande and want to sight see)"

  • Wonderful experience

"Every 2yrs we bring both sets of parents and a lifetime style trip. This year it was Costa Rica. We spent 8 days in CR w our last 3 here. It was the perfect way to end an amazing trip. The condo was located where you'd want it. Close, but still secluded. The management team setup surfing lessons, paddle board, private chef, all fantastic. The beach in front is great for exploring, tide pools at low tide to enjoy."

Ostional Travel Tips

Ostional Vacation Rentals Will Become Your New Home Away From Home

For Costa Rican Ostional travel, no one can beat Guanacaste beach homes. One has to deal with staff and other travelers when staying in any hotels or resorts. However, vacation rentals you'll find at VRBO will let you avoid these hassles at a reasonable price. You'll be able to enjoy yourself in the privacy and comfort you're used to at home while having the chance to explore beautiful Costa Rica.

Guanacaste Beach Homes Provide the Perfect Relaxing Getaway

Your vacation rental will open up a world of sun, fun and relaxation. Western Costa Rica has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. You can swim, play and lounge in the sun, but there you'll also find some of the best surfing in Costa Rica. This area houses multiple surf shops, surf schools and forgiving waves for those just learning. In addition, the Ostional coast manages to have great fishing year round with everything from tuna and sea bass to mahi-mahi and marlins. It's a breeze to fish from the shore, but if you're feeling adventurous, you can hire one of the numerous charter boats to take you out to a deep-sea location.

An Ostional Vacation Lets You Choose Your Level of Action

The adjacent towns offer a wide range of activities away from the beach. Of course, one could take a horseback ride along the beach, but why not take one through the jungle instead? An all-terrain vehicle will let you tear through the jungle blazing your own path. Combine that with a zip line over the forest canopy or a kayaking trip down white water rapids and your Ostional travel will be the envy of adrenaline junkies worldwide.
