  • Great location

"Chateau Aspen 10 was in an outstanding location with great amenities. I have oven envy. On our final night at the property we realised that there was a supermarket across the road - doh. House keeping prior to our arrival was a bit lack lustre as we had only a single roll of partially used toilet paper for 5 people and a three night stay. There was also two cakes of used soap left in the shower and nothing to use to start the fire (but logs of wood). Toilet paper and fire lighters were supplied however upon request (the next day), disappointing though considering the price point. We also found a broken iPad wedged into the fold out sofa in the lounge room. Unlike other apartment rentals during our stay - Chateau Aspen did have any panty items such as salt/pepper shakers etc. All that being said we would stay here again."

  • Great Property - Secluded yet accessible to everything

"We were looking to get away from the Dallas summer heat and relax in a secluded mountain setting. We found everything we were looking for, and much more, in this property. If you're looking for a comfortable, unpretentious, casual vacation rental property, that feels like a place you might have built for yourself, then this is the place for you. When we first walked in, we went straight to the deck and took in the view, not to mention the sound of the water rushing down the river just a few hundred yards from the house. Our, almost daily routine, was hiking down Hunter Creek Trail, ( 2 minutes from the front door), through a well marked series of trails, all the way to downtown, where we would meet up for lunch with others in our party, then would drive the 7 or 8 minutes back to the house. Then either go fly fishing, white water rafting, golfing........or just driving up to the Maroon Bells, looking for Moose, Bear, Elk, Deer, Fox, etc. We actually had a fox that hung out around the house that we would run into from time to time, as well as deer in the yard and an occasional bald eagle soaring overhead. Even though the house was fairly close to other houses, we still felt very secluded with the dense foliage surrounding the house. The house was very comfortable for the 4 of us, my wife and I in one room, and our son and daughter, each with their own rooms with separate bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped, however we tend to eat out a lot. If we decide to visit Aspen again, we would definitely like to stay here. The owner was very responsive and helpful. I would recommend to anyone."

  • charming studio apartment for Christmas get-away

"This bright, clean, cheerful studio apartment with a fantastic location is easily accessible to everything Aspen has to offer: restaurants, bus system, grocery shopping, nordic & alpine skiing. On-site parking added to its appeal. The rental would have earned a 5-star rating except for (1) the fully applianced (stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave) functional kitchen was missing any pot holders, a corkscrew, dishwasher detergent, etc; and (2) absence of a snow shovel that made parking in "our designated spot" impossible during a major snowstorm. Although the owner had been quite responsive prior to the snow shovel inquiry, we never heard from him again following the snowstorm. We would return again; but with some basic kitchen items in hand."

  • Perfect home for your vacation plans!

"My family and I have used VRBO or other similar vacation rental sites for many years, and this house, location, and experience was one of the most pleasant I can recall. The owners were prompt, professional, warm, and so helpful to work with in setting up the rental and navigating our plans. They assisted far beyond anything necessary with suggestions for local activities in Snowmass and Aspen proper, as well as routes for wonderful walks, places to eat, and even a nice route to walk off the great food we cooked in their chef-worthy kitchen. There was nothing that we needed from good knives to the right kind of cookware that wasn't at hand. The home is amazing. The house is large with a unique layout that gave more than enough space to 2 families. The fireplace in the kitchen / dining area lit our time preparing meals and kept us warm while we played games at the table. The linens, towels, bedding, and antiques around the house were lovely and quality, and within 10 minutes of arriving and putting away our food and supplies I felt like I was staying i the home of a friend. Wireless access, tons of great books, and even a heated garage. Though winter, we spent lots of time outside and there was room to roam with gorgeous views. The heated garage let us pile in comfort from the start on any trips to the very nearby city of Aspen and Snowmass Village. If you are looking to get lost in luxury and beauty for a while, book this rental - you won't regret it."
