"Very nice place. It's location is perfect, very little traffic. Couldn't get enough of the beach, I am from the north and the beaches are nothing like this one. Water was nice and warm. Also the beach was never crowded. Pool was excellent to relax in at night. My son really liked the small lizards that are around(and they don't bother you). It was just a cool place. If your looking to rent it go for it!"

"It is a great place to stay. It is well sized and easily slept our family of 5, with all the kids having their own rooms. The "extras" like pool towels, beach stuff and bicycles just made it better. The villa is close to everything we did and we even tried one of the restaurants mentioned in the guest book, which was excellent."

"My wife, son and in-laws have stayed at the Continental Club in this condo for the last three years. The condo has all the amenities that you could want for a month long stay. It is beautifully decorated in a beach theme with new couches and chairs in the living room. It is directly on the beach and the pool area is very nice. It is exactly as described in the VRBO listing. I think any couple or family would enjoy the condo and the Naples area. We cannot wait to go back next year to sit on the balcony and watch sunsets and dolphins."

"Our family has been returning to Sanibel and Captiva for many years and it has become a favorite vacation destination for us. We typically rent a condo on Sanibel, but this year were looking to be in an even more relaxing environment with more space, as we had a couple of grandmothers and an aunt joining us for part of our trip. I can't say enough about Bird of Paradise. So thrilled we found this lovely home - it had everything we needed and then some.
The owner was super nice and helpful. We booked our trip for our boys' spring break. First - the location - couldn't be in a better spot, unless it was directly ON the beach(which for most of us is not affordable in Captiva). The house was large and open and had enough space for us all to be togehter for quality family time, but plenty of space for everyone to go off on their own. There is a nice size pool (especially compared to the other houses in the island) which we all enjoyed both day and night. We cooked almost all our meals at home and had our choice of indoor dining at the massive dining table (dinner followed by family game nights - the house had evey game you could imagine) or al fresco on the screened porch (where we all gathered in the mornings for breakfast). The kitchen was well equipped making it easy to prepare meals at home. But of course there are several restaurants to visit, which we did as well. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Each had a TV for relaxing in bed after a full day or sun and surf. Our kids enjoyed the pool table and foosball table and would have loved the ping pong table if we could have found the balls.
Chapin Lane is quiet and lovely. and it was only a two minute walk onto the beach and only a 4 minute walk to Andy Rosse Lane. The beach was spectacular - clear, warm, calm waters brimming with sea life (we saw a manatee in the ocean about five feet in front of where we were swimming) and gorgeous evening sunsets. It was quiet and peaceful despite the fact that we were there during the tail end of high season. The house was equipped with plenty of beach chairs, beach wagons, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc
Right across the road is a fabulous marina which we have frequented for years. Reasonable fees for renting a huge pontoon boat and fishing equipment for a great day trip on the bay. Only negative I can say is that the housekeeping staff needs to do a better job. We had to sweep, vacuum and do laundry when we got there because they had not finished."
