"Great location in the arts district. Easy walk to downtown, numerous restaurants, and the waterfront. Off street parking a huge plus.
Also, Connie was great at responding to any and all questions/inquiries we had, and had several suggestions for things to do and places to eat."

"The pictures do no justice in how awesome this cottage is. The cottage felt like home. The dock is just steps away from the cottage. We hanged out on the dock on our first night and almost every night. The moon was bright and had a cool breeze. We could just camp on that dock :) The cottage is very clean and comfortable. It has a nice full kitchen. Everything is close by grocery stores, breweries, restaurants and hiking trails. If you like shopping, the outlet mall and LL Bean are just a short drive. South Freeport road is a nice road to run/bike. There are barely any cars on the road and we saw plenty of people running and biking. Stephanie and John are wonderful hosts. They gave us good recommendations on restaurants and hiking trails. Even though they were just a few steps away, we felt that we had our privacy. If you need them they’re there but if not they just leave you be. Our trip to Freeport wouldn't have been this fun and relaxing if we have stayed somewhere else. I definitely recommend staying at their cottage."

"This home was a perfect for us. Initially we chose this property because of the beautiful roof top deck and the grille. We had wonderful breakfasts on the deck as well as some nice evening dinners and cocktails, enjoying the night sky. We stayed the week of Labor Day, which turned out to be extremely warm, and it was perfect in the mornings and evenings. The beautiful plants and flowers make it a great place to relax.
The lay-out is nice, as it has 2 totally separate areas for sleeping; one bedroom, the larger of the two, is on the lower level, and the second bedroom is on the 3rd floor; both have their own bathrooms and a washer and dryer located on the lower level bedroom area. One of the most pleasant surprises to us is the incredible kitchen. Not only was it well stocked with almost anything you could need, it was a spacious area for a number of us to prepare a meal, or casually graze.
Within a 10 minute walk of most of the restaurants and tourist areas in Portland, we seldom drove, and we enjoyed walking to our destinations, and felt very safe in the neighborhood. Some of the things we like doing are: taking the ferry to Peaks Island and renting bikes; going to restaurants like Fore Street and Back Bay Grille; hanging out at the Portland Lobster Company; and for sightseeing the Portland Discovery Land & See Lighthouse Tour is great. The home is very clean and comfortable, and the homeowners were extremely helpful. The listing description and pictures are very accurate. We would definitely recommend renting this property, and will hopefully return again."
