Pictures don't lie!
Me and my wife spent a couple of weeks at the studio apartment in Can Coral. Overall, an excellent vacation. As the pictures show, it is a tastefully designed apartment with a big terrace and a beautiful view. We spent a few hours reading and taking in the landscape The studio is well-equipped with everything. Interestingly, although day time temperatures went beyond 90F every day, we never turned on the air conditioner because the air was dry and there was always a pleasant breeze. The night were cool.
The hosts Rainer and Ariane are friendly, helpful and multilingual (the latter is not so common in Penedes or even Spain as a whole).
The surrounding area is beautiful with vineyards and other kinds of cultivation and some forests. We spent a lot of time biking, hiking and visiting medieval churches and castles. We also did half-day excursions to Montserrat, Santes Creus , the Codorniu caves and Sitges - all of which ended with a dive in the swimming pool. There are also outstanding restaurants in the area, particularly in Pontons. All in all, highly recommended for those who would like an active vacation away from the crowds. [Insect repellent is a must.]
