Perfect stay for some family time

The property is clean & spacious with the advantage of a ground floor bedroom & ensuite that was perfect for my elderly parents We were fortunate with the weather & enjoyed the outside seating area & hot tub Nearby is the blue bell pub that’s served good food Overall a great stay

FABULOUS!!

It was a wonderful property with fabulous amenities. I would certainly come back again! The obky downside is that there was no WiFi. However it meant I spent time with my family and not on the computer doing work!

Wedding weekend

We hired the bungalow for a long weekend as a base for my sons wedding in cundall nearby. I searched for a suitable place to above all amuse the children and I couldn’t have picked better! There are so many attractions for them it was impossible to get bored! With all of the animals on the farm, vintage vehicles etc there was more than enough to keep us adults well entertained too. From booking to meeting James on arrival the process was easy, James and his sister were very hands on and helpful when we arrived as I had a mobile hoist delivered prior to my arrival, they were concerned it wouldn’t fit under the bed, however we were prepared with wooden chocks to raise the bed, they both helped in fitting them and even found extra timber required to support the bed. I would definitely book this house again in the future as it would make an excellent base to explore the area from. My brother and his family as well as my niece and her family called in to visit us the day after the wedding and agreed it was a lovely clean fresh house to stay in for short or long breaks and there was nothing more you could need, even ‘slow’ Wi-Fi didn’t bother the teenagers! That’s a massive thumbs up on its own! On the other end of the scale my mother in law who is in the early stages of dementia found it very therapeutical stroking the cows when they came to the fence to be fed their treats, she followed them all the way along the fence!

We had a great long weekend at the cottage. Loved all the animals, hot tub and pool! Kitchen is well equipped and the whole house was spotless! Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Great Property

Lovely house, owners really helpful, lovely welcome hamper, home from home with the added benefits of the private hot tub and use of the pool. Great location for days out easy access to York & Harrogate. Highly recommend this property would not hesitate to come back here.

Ferrensby cottage

A lovely family cottage in the country yet close to Harrogate, half an hour away from York too with the availability of the park and ride if you want but our ten year old son wanted to go to the Railway Museum so we parked for £10 (all day) in the railway museum car park, it sounds a lot but the walk down to the amenities afterwards wasn’t bad. We all loved seeing the cattle at the back of the cottage every morning, lovely. The hot tub and the pool were a nice addition but the advertised WiFi was a bit of a let down esp with teenagers and 10 year old, at night time. Overall, though. Good holiday was had

Immaculate and stylish home in a quiet farm setting

Our party of five friends had a wonderful stay at Sunnydale Holiday Cottage in Ferrensby. We were able to enjoy the countryside but close to major roads for easy travel. The bedrooms were comfortable and having two and a half baths a plus. The kitchen was very well equipped and roomy. We were started with a basket of breakfast supplies and shopping was plentiful in nearby Boroughbridge. Restaurants for a dinner out were close by. Gillian and David were helpful and friendly hosts and very responsive with communication before and during our trip. We would highly recommend a stay at Sunnydale Holiday Cottage.

Perfect for a few days away . Spotlessly clean and Gillian very friendly and helpful .

Booked a mid week break with family . Perfect for our needs . 3 good sized bedrooms and the cottage was immaculate . Welcome pack containing full English breakfast was a nice surprise . Fresh eggs also available each day . The children loved the indoor pool which was lovely and warm and the hot tub is a great addition . Great location to explore Harrogate , York , North York Moors . Highly recommended.

Lovely cottage!

Gillian & David are welcoming hosts...Nothing was too much trouble. Basket of local food ready on arrival and fresh eggs available daily. The cottage is lovely and everything is catered for. The pool is ideal and was available whenever we wanted to use it. (Nice and warm). Barbecue & patio area perfect for a sunny day. Location is great for visiting York and Harrogate. Highly recommended.
