Spacious, cozy apartment in a quiet neighborhood near the center

Perfect location for professionals, friends, couples, families who want to spend a pleasant stay in Basel, near the center (Marktplatz 800 m), in a quiet residential area.

The apartment is very quiet, the street in front of it is of limited speed (30 km/h) and mostly used by cyclists!

The apartment consists of:

- a large living room with sofa, free Wi-Fi, flat screen TV, desk, balcony (with a small garden table and two chairs during the summer)

- a fully equipped kitchen, furnished with refrigerator, freezer, oven, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave oven. Eating area with table and chairs for four people.

- a double bedroom with balcony and private bathroom (with bathtub)

- two single rooms

- a second bathroom (with shower)

All the bedrooms overlook the quiet green courtyard.

Unoccupied bedrooms are locked.

A cot/crib for children up to 1 year of age (maximum 15 kg) and a highchair are available.

At customer's disposition and included in the price:
- salt, pepper, sugar, vinegar, tea, coffee capsules
- dish detergent, kitchen linen
- bed linen, towels, detergent, shampoo
- private washing machine and drier, washing powder.

Private parking in the garage of the same building, CHF 15 per night (ask the owner).

- BASEL CARD (free ticket for public transport in Basel and 50% discount on museum admissions, zoo etc.).

- city map and useful information about the city

The apartment is located near the tram stop "Zoo Bachletten", two tram stops from the main train station Basel SBB. Basel's central square "Marktplatz" is 800 m away.

Direct connection to Stadttheater, Marktplatz, the Congress Center (Messe), Fondation Beyeler, (tram no. 6) and the Novartis campus (tram no. 1).

The zoo is a stone's throw from the house. The nearest supermarket is 250 m away.

The "Schützenmattpark", only 450 m from home, is a pleasant green oasis in all seasons. There is always a good reason to visit it: to go for a walk in the green, to go jogging, to take the children to play in the children's playground and/or to go to the bar/restaurant "Pavillon im Park". Moreover, in the morning you might see a group of storks that visits the park regularly!

Loradana, our hostess, went above and beyond to make our Basel visit successful. The Vrbo was spotless, well appointed, centrally located, and convenient. Within walking distance to tram, old town and grocery stores. Airport and main train station less than 15 minutes away. Apartment was clean and well cared for. Loredena gave us helpful information to navigate the trams and get to local attractions.

Great place in Basel

A very clean and home-feel apartment close to Basel old town and all commercial functions. We stayed there for a conference and used public transport for connecting to the conference center, the train station and shopping. Apartment manager was super friendly and useful for local recommendations and addressed our needs very well - thank you, Loredana!

Excellent Basel Base with Accommodating Host

We had a great stay at this place in Basel! The apartment had everything we needed—clean, comfortable, and super convenient, just a short walk from the train station. The host also provided tram passes, which made getting around the city really easy.She did a detailed walk-through when we arrived, which was helpful. She likes to stay in close communication and prefers to be there for both check-in and check-out, so just make sure to keep her updated and be on time. That said, she was very accommodating and let us store our luggage after check-out until we had to head to our transportation later that evening, which was a big help.Overall, a solid spot to stay while exploring Basel!

Outstanding Stay

This deserves a 6****** star rating! The apartment was immaculate and an ideal location from the Basel SBB train station. Two nearby tram lines provided easy access to all attractions. Loredana is not just a very receptive host but an excellent source of information: directions from the train station to the apartment, explaining how everything in the apartment worked, restaurant recommendations, where to shop for groceries, museums to explore, the three towers and how to get to them, and how to use the ferries to cross the Rhine. Thank you ever so much for a lovely stay.

Wow! What a lovely rental property

We found the property to be more lovely than the photos implied. The interior is modern, roomy and efficient. The dual balconies are a perfect way to connect with both city life in the front and nature via the beautiful gardens in the rear. Everything about this property is first class. And Loredana, the host, is on the spot for arrival, in-stay assistance, and departure. The only small thing we need to call out is that the fees for both interior parking (which we opted for, and was much appreciated) and occupancy taxes are daily, not for the length of your stay. But the "Basel Card" Loredana obtained for us (much thanks to her) paid off in so many ways in discounts and free fares. We would never stay anywhere else in Basel. Don't you!

Alles perfekt, super schöner Aufenthalt!

Eine sehr schöne, gemütliche Wohnung, sehr gut ausgestattet, mit allem was man benötigt. Sie hat unsere Erwartungen noch übertroffen. Die Betten waren sehr bequem, so dass wir alle, auch dank der ruhigen Lage der Wohnung, gut geschlafen haben. Auch die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet. Besonders froh waren wir über den überdachten Balkon, wo wir jeden Morgen gefrühstückt und abends gemütlich beisammen gesessen haben. Hervorzuheben ist auch die Sauberkeit der Wohnung und die gute Lage, zentrumsnah und trotzdem ruhig. Loredana ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, die sehr um unser Wohlergehen besorgt war. Sie hat uns herzlich empfangen und hatte immer wieder gute Tipps für uns. Die Kommunikation mit ihr war problemlos und sie hat immer schnell geantwortet. Wir würden die Wohnung jederzeit wieder mieten und können sie nur weiter empfehlen!

Top-Wohnung in Top-Lage

Die Wohnung ist super, wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Inventar und die Ausstattung waren stimmig und hochwertig ,insbesondere bei den Badezimmern. Der kleinere Balkon, der nach hinten geht, hat uns sehr gefallen, da er ganz ruhig ist und einen Blick ins Grüne bietet. Auch der Tiefgaragenplatz war sehr hilfreich. Alles sehr empfehlenswert!!

Lovely flat in Basel

Overall an ideal property for a couple traveling in Basel Switzerland. Bthe rental process was smooth made even more so by Loredana's acute attention to detail. The flat was immaculate and its location was ideal, especially its proximity to the old town area. Additionally, there were several tram lines nearby which made it for easy travel throughout Basel. Overall. an excellent place and I would readily stay here again in the future.
