As they say, your home is your castle... and so it is! Make yourself at home in Chateau d'Oche, located just 45 minutes from Limoges International Airport in the lush and stunning Perigord Vert, land of truffles and foie gras in South West France.

Originally the home of barons (with our own coat of arms) the castle was built on an ancient base from the 1400s. The estate was transformed by a quirky 1800s French Artisan, Master Louis Bourdery, renowned for his religious art (he has streets named after him) and a penchant for all things English. He and his eclectic heirs, such as his ghostly white daughter Blanche, left their workshop, two chapels, and an indelible footprint on the property - transforming it from a hunting lodge to a towering gothic tribute which stands in superb condition to this day. The chateau was more recently a summer resort for French Ministers' families before being sold as a 13-hectare private estate.

3 Night Venue Hire and Accommodation Packages Start at just 11,900 euros

We can accommodate larger groups of up to 40 - additional rooms would be available plus the communal and event areas of the 'Chateau Wing ' and ' Upper Wings' would be included. Prices on this site are based on 7 night holiday stays and so do not reflect event pricing or extras included. Please reach out to us for correct pricing for your special day.

The estate is Ideal for events or weddings to include a ceremony at your very own Chapel on the estate, use of our various Event Rooms holding up to 120 people plus use of our flexible Use Marquees ( an installation charge applies ). Outdoor Weddings of up to 160 people are possible.

Our 'Venue Hire' package includes the use of tables, chairs , table-cloths, cutlery and for your special occasion, as well as the furniture setup prior to your arrival.

We are more than happy to discuss your personalised plan for the use of the Chateau and assist you to get your planning off to a great start - we work with a select group of local suppliers for weddings and other events as well as planning services and caterers.

We would be delighted to welcome you prior to the event to show you the possibilities of our Chateau - The space is flexible and we are too so please get in touch if you would like to organise a visit. Please note :


The owners live on the estate, and have pets. These are kept in a separate, enclosed garden.

Care should be taken if children are present, particularly around the pool, on the indoor staircases and outdoor areas.

We do not take a cleaning fee, however we ask that the Chateau is left in a clean and tidy condition on departure with all bins being removed from the site. One clean linen set is included in the fees, and your beds will be ready for you. We reserve the right to levy a charge using the deposit if exceptional cleaning is required.

Other terms and conditions apply and can be supplied on receiving your enquiry.

We will be flattered that you may request us to hold your dates before a deposit is organised and would like to help. We are unable to do this, as some booking platforms automatically accept paid booking requests and block dates for which a deposit has been paid including overlapping dates for enquiries with unpaid deposits.

We permit pets with our permission in writing but an increased damage deposit will apply. A specific bedroom with separate entrance is available for those with pets and all pets must be authorised in advance of confirming a booking by the Owner.
