Our cozy home sits under shady Florida live oaks and is only four blocks to main street Safety Harbor.

A hidden gem within walking distance to all of Safety Harbor's shops, restaurants and beautiful Tampa Bay.

An inviting front patio deck entrance serves as a special spot to entertain or relax.

Rejuvenate with spa visits, golf, nature walks and sunsets.

Centrally located 30 minutes to the airports, beautiful gulf beaches and golf.

Our house sitter looks after the home in our absence. A separate attached apartment is non shared.

We adored our stay The Blue Heron. We have been to Safety Harbor in the past and this is by far the best place we have stayed. Everything from making us feel at home to an extremely comfortable and clean environment was enjoyed. Well stocked with everything we may needed, we felt so welcome and pampered. Steve is a great communicator and answered all our questions. A super host indeed!! We are coming back next year to enjoy the house for longer next time.

The grounds were impeccable and inviting. The appliances in the kitchen were top-of-the-line. And all had a comfy, homey feel. Such a great neighborhood and walkable to all that Safety Harbor offers. The property is clearly tended to lovingly. Could not have asked for more.

Relaxing Stay in Safety Harbor

We enjoyed our stay at The Blue Heron- a very relaxing, comfortable, and clean home. The location is in a quiet neighborhood close to the shops and restaurants of Safety Harbor as well as beautiful walks along the bay which we enjoyed!

Absolutely wonderful

Location was great and I can’t say enough about how great the owners were and everything they provided. We intend to stay again. We had everything we needed and it was the best home we have stayed in.

Safety Harbor retreat

We found a real gem when we discovered this little cottage just a few block off of Main St in Safety Harbor. Cozy and charmingly decorated with a up scale modern kitchen with all the amenities. A perfect place to relax when you want to but close enough to town to walk down town for coffee in the morning or dinner and a drink in the evening. You’ll want to stay a while

Beautiful house just blocks from town and all the excitement of Safety Harbor. Enjoyed our morning coffee on the spacious front porch.

Great stay in Safety Harbor

This home was clean, comfortable, and well appointed with modern, quality furnishings. It is located in a quiet, upscale neighborhood five blocks from Old Tampa Bay and close to all major attractions. Owner was considerate and easy to work with. We had a great time.

Wonderful, comfortable stay.

We stayed at this property for a month. Safety Harbor is a lovely community and this property is in the heart of it all yet far enough away that you can enjoy quiet evenings. This property is well stocked with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The communication with the owners was excellent and they responded quickly to any questions we had always in a pleasant manner. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Cozy Blue Heron Hideway

Fell in love with this comfy cozy, clean and nicely decorated cottage. 4 blocks from my favorite Gigglewater’s Restaurant. Perfect location. Quiet neighborhood, easy walk to everything Safety Harbor has to offer and so relaxing to sit outside and enjoy the seating areas and landscape. Owners are gracious and very attentive to our needs. Cottage well stocked with anything and everything you need. Just like being at home. Absolutely loved our stay and will choose the Blue Heron on my next stay in Safety Harbor, the gem of Tampa Bay.

A Peaceful Retreat

Everything was perfect! We have stayed four times now in safety harbor and this by far was the best yet! Steve provides a super clean, well appointed home in a quiet neighborhood. His customer service is second to none. If you’re considering this property for your get away, grab it while you can!

Safety Harbor stay.

What an amazing place! So peaceful. The outdoors is a perfect oasis for relaxing. The cottage is a short walk to town etc. Love all the live Oaks. The inside is decorated beautifully and the kitchen was great for cooking. We had to leave due to a family emergency and Steve could not have been more understanding and compassionate. Looking forward to our next visit.

Piece of paradise

We loved this bungalow.It was as described and more. Very clean,well stocked with everything including fresh flowers.The kitchen has everything you need to make a nice meal. Beautifully decorated with comfy beds. I would not change a thing. Steve the owner was always available for questions and suggestions. We highly recommend this piece of paradise in Safety Harbor.

Great small town feel in a big urban area

Very nice mid-20th century bungalow, updated, well landscaped and conveniently located not far from the center of town. The home was well equipped and welcoming. One could enjoy a relaxing ambiance of the home. Safety Harbor has a traditional small town feel with excellent restaurants, quaint shops and many weekend activities. The area features an excellent trail system and easy access to Tampa and other cities in the area. Had it not been reserved by someone else next year, we would have booked another stay

We GREATLY enjoyed our time in this darling bungalow in Safety Harbor. It is cozy and comfortable yet quite stylish. The spa passes were FABULOUS. Each day I walked or rented a bike. we had a picnic at the harbor, strolled through the scenic downtown and read several novels. Delicious. We loved Safety Harbor SO much we are considering our own real estate purchase in this slice of heaven. What a great secret..shh..dont tell! Angi and Ken

Simply Fabulous

I don't actually want to write this review. Because I want to keep this darling bungalow a secret!!! Since the owners are so thoughtful and generous I can't not write this review. The home is clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable and every amenity one could need on a vacation is provided. We loved the neighborhood--it's old Florida with beautiful flora views from every window. We used the library cards for books and to rent movies--big bonus. There are charming small businesses to explore in Safety Harbor. We enjoyed daily walks. Thank you Melissa and Steve for sharing your magical home with us and thinking of EVERYTHING!!! Can't wait to come back.

Loved our stay here in Safety Harbor! The house was lovely and had everything you would need. Indoor and outdoor furniture were very comfortable. Landscape was very nice. All of Safety Harbor was within walking distance. I loved the various sitting areas. The house seemed larger than pictured. Safe neighborhood. Highly recommend!

A perfect home!

We have stayed in a number of VRBOs, and this one has to be one of the very best! From the moment we walked in the front door, we could tell that the owners had spent a lot of time in thinking about how to make the house as cheerful, welcoming and practical as possible. Basically, they have thought of everything! Want to cook dinners and eat in? The kitchen has everything you could want (far beyond the basics we see at many places). Want to sit outside and enjoy the weather? Lots of chairs and comfie pillows. Interested in spa passes, library cards, fitness center info? It's all there! And when we had a question, Steve was quick in responding, and so helpful! The place is cozy, yet feels quite expansive. Super clean. Very quiet too ... we had great, restful sleeps. Would highly recommend!!!
