Marvellous view but…

1. The washing machine didn’t fonctionate 2. The swimming pool wasn’t useful and cleaning 3. The kitchen isn’t wel equiped and one pan was rotten. 4. Nevertheless the vue is wonderful and thé neighbour very helpful 5. And take care of thé price on the internet the owner change it after you booked

Amazing location, poorly maintined

The location and views are stunning, however the property was in poor condition. While some of this is due to the location and climate, the property as a whole was poorly maintained for the price we paid. The owner was extremely good at communicating while we were at the property and resolved any issues that could be resolved while there however dangerous access to the pool, windows falling off hinges and general cattiness of the property did not justify the price.

Para llegar necesitas un coche alto o un 4x4, pero cuando llegas merece la pena, la casta està justo en frente de Africa, parece que puedes ir andando. Estuvimos unos dìas para desconectar y fue genial! Seguro volveremos

Amazing place!!!

Me and my husband and our two dog hade the best holiday ever! What a marvelous place with a breathtaking view over the sea and Marocco. We wanted Relax and new Energi and Yes!!!,This is the place !!! The house was clean and nice. Beds very comfortable. We went to Tarifa every day and the way to drive is a little bit "off road"but not a problem. But It´s good to know ;-) The house is in the natural park of Tarifa with cows walking free. No problems having walks with the dogs. Sandra is great and friendly . We hade great "how to drive"' information from Andrew before we arrived. Also good to know the internet was working good but our mobiles we hade to switch on" flight mode" so they don´t charge you extra as you are so close to Marocco. I want to give the place All Stars !!!!because it´s a unic place!! Ofcourse some small things could be a little better.. but really I still dreaming of our days in the house...and I hope to go back next year!!!!

Demasiado cara para lo que es

El camino a la casa es muy complicado, tienes que llevar un todoterreno. Andrew es muy simpático pero lamentablemente quien te recibe es Sandra, bastante maleducada que te exige aparecer por la casa cuando ella quiera y si te descuidas se mete en tu habitación. El baño de la habitación antigua no funciona, siendo esta habitación la más alejada de todo, además, la bañera que aparece en las fotos no se puede utilizar porque Sandra no te da el tapón, ya que dice que no quiere que se use, pues no la pongas en el anuncio!!! Cuando llegamos, lo primero que nos dijo es que eso de beber alcohol todos los días no le parecía bien, que si eso un par de días … perdón????? Cuando llegas tiene tantas ganas de decirte todo lo que no puedes hacer, que se le olvida decir que pongas el modo avión en el teléfono, ya que debido a la cercanía a Marruecos, coge la señal de ahí, y a mi me cobraron 60 euros. Había una invasión de cochinillas, que se sabe que estamos en el campo, pero es bastante desagradable dormir con esos bichos por tu cabeza. La casa tiene unas vistas increíbles y es bastante grande, pero no cuesta casi 3000 euros una semana.

Lo hemos pasado bien

Por partes: * Acceso difícil pero eso da más tranquilidad al lugar. * Casa bastante dejada, con muchos arreglos pendientes.(enchufes, puertas, jardinería, ...). * Limpieza correcta. * Ubicación excelente para pasar unas vacaciones tranquilas. * Vistas excepcionales. * Instalaciones no acordes con lo ofertado: (*) No hay sillas para más de 10 personas (oferta 14 plazas) (*) Televisión inviable pues no hay antena. (*) Menaje y productos mínimos (limpieza) muy deficitarios. * Problemas eléctricos debido a una avería en el molino de viento. * Trato excelente por parte de Manolo (mantenimiento).

Vacaciones

La casa está bien, la única pega el camino de acceso que con un coche normal se hace complicado, pero después de unos días se hace más fácil, las vistas impresionantes y el trato con Manolo el encargado de la piscina, muy bien, se esmera mucho y se preocupa de que estemos atendidos.

La casa está situada en la costa, a ojo diría que a unos 100m del mar, tiene una de las mejores vistas que he tenido en mi vida para ser sincero, se ve una gran montaña en frente , “jebel musa “ es preciosa, más cercano a nosotros, había una playa de roca muy bonita también y la casa está rodeada de naturaleza y tranquilidad... En mi experiencia, ideal para familias con niños, en la terraza pueden jugar y la piscina ( que está bastante resguardada del viento) también es algo muy agradable ya que tiene incluso tumbonas. Caso a parte, la casa cuenta con una arquitectura interior muy bonita y de una bañera bastante grande.

Abgenutzte Villa mit Traumaussicht

Schöne Villa in super Lage , nur schon ziemlich heruntergekommen. Türe funktionieren nicht , Gasherd funktioniert nur zum Teil , Betten sind eine Katastrophe , Bettwäsche schmuddelig , Steckdosen sind kaputt , Mäuse im Bettkasten Ameisen im Bett usw. usw. Kein internet und Funkempfang nur über Marokko . Nur der Pool war ordentlich , wenn mann den Saustall außenrum nicht betrachtet . Nach zwei tagen sind wir geflüchtet , was nicht so gut gelang . Die erbärmliche Straße hat uns den Reifen kaputt gemacht. Zum Glück gab es Manillo , der Nachbar . Er hat zufällig (?) den richtigen Reifen auf lager und uns in die Werkstatt gefahren. Die Strecke ist für ein standart Mietauto nicht zu empfehlen .

One in a million!

This is the second time we have stayed at one of Andrews houses in Tarifa, and both have been amazing! We had such a great time on our last trip, we were a little nervous this time as you know what they say about trying to recreate something....however we had no need to worry, this trip was possibly even better than the first, although not much between them! Casa Costa Uno, is once again set in the most incredible of locations, in spitting distance from the ocean with the mos amazing panoramic views across to Africa. The house is spacious and equipped with all you need for a home away from home, with views to die for from every room. The added bonus of the great swimming pool will ensure the kids are happy, whilst you sip on a beer and absorb the unique ambiance this incredible spot has to offer! As ever Andrew and his man on the ground, Manolo, were incredibly helpful and friendly, moved the beds around to suit our party (5 adults 4 kids) and went out of there way to ensure we were happy and had all we needed. Thanks Andrew, your places are one in a million, we will be back soon without a doubt! PS: anyone worrying about the access, don't, we had a fully loaded 7 seater van and a small ford fiesta and had absolutely no problem. In fact the track and the journey to and from the house simply add to the adventure!

Fantastisch

Perfekter Ort zum Abschalten und gänzlich auszuruhen. Wir lieben die Tatsache, dass die Villa Off Grid ist, also autark und netzunabhängig funktionniert. Die Aussicht ist atemberaubend. Die Einrichtung ist einfach aber völlig ausreichend. Nichts ist grossartiger, als draussen am Pool zu sitzen und die Sicht zu geniessen... da fällt der Wind einem kaum mehr auf.

Decepción

Lo mejor de la casa las vistas. Lo peor bastantes cosas: La humedad y el olor a humedad de la vivienda. las camas daban la sensacion de estar mojadas. Falta de mantenimiento y limpieza en general. Pero lo mas desagradable ha sido la presencia de bichos, que vale que estamos en un parque natural , pero hemos tenido invasión de cochinillas... y ratones lo que hizo que la estancia fuera fesagradable a parte de tener que tirar comida roida por los ratones...En fin para gustos colores. Un saludo para Manolo, el vecino que fue muy amable con nosotros . Miguel

One of a kind views

We'd previously stayed at the second, smaller house, and this time it was the larger one. The location is amazing. It really feels isolated. You have to slowly wind down a rough road, I've seen comments about needing a 4-wheel drive but you really don't, you just need to drive slowly. The views are as in the pictures. The house was perfect for us, with a large dining table, large living room, great outdoor areas, (it's always windy near Tarifa though) and plenty of bathrooms. As Andrew, the owner says, the house is not hermetically sealed, there will be the odd bug, it's hard for sheets and towels to stay dry. The only thing I would say is that because of the difficulty in getting to the property, make sure you check if everything is in order. For example, the wood stove was in the process of being changed, the swimming pool was out of order and there wasn't any internet. You also need to bring absolutely everything apart from bedding and towels - water to drink, toilet paper, soap, dishwashing soap and sponges, etc. We knew this in advance but if we'd gone expecting those things we may have been disappointed. The advertisement should be kept more up-to-date to reflect the current state of the property. We'll be back for sure.

Tres deçu!

Après une belle impression en arrivant, la deception augment d'heures en heures! Arrivé sur les lieux dimanche et sachant que le lundi etait ferié, un rouleau de papier hygiénique aurait ete le minimum de la part du proprio, mais ca ce n'est que le debut. Pour notre 3 eme jours voici la liste noir: - insectes, Mille-pattes, araignees etc. partout dans la maison, dans la baignoire, sous et dans les lits, les murs , partout... - Prises electriques qui ne fonctionnent pas, et meme qui pendent du mur, dangereux avec des enfants!!! - Internet inexistant, il n'y a jamais eu de connection, d'installation internet. - lavabo cassé, WC non fixé! - robinet de la cuisine casé! - pas encore trouvé le barbecue! On cherche!! - piscine trouble et pas 100% propre - les portes ne ferment pas correctement, l'annexe ne se ferment pas à clé! - serviettes de bain humide et mal lavé (traces brunes) - pas de lumière dehors - coupure d'électricité Et tout ça n'est rien... Le pire c'est que l'on a PAS D'EAU CHAUDE depuis 3 jours dans toute la maison!!! A suivre... ps: photos à disposition sur demande

Casa aislada, rústica y con vistas impresionantes

La casa es rústica (en el sentido literal), está alejada de todo, las vistas son impresionantes y estuvimos a gusto. Hay limitaciones en el uso de energía porque toda viene de un molino y de paneles solares, pero a nosotros no nos afectó en nuestra vida diaria. Se tarda una media hora en llegar a Tarifa en coche porque el camino es difícil, tenemos un todo-terreno y no teníamos problema por el camino (pero creo imprescindible ir con un todo-terreno). Después de hacerlo varias veces íbamos más rápidamente, pero sí hace que de pereza salir de casa. La casa estaba limpia (baños, cocina, armarios, sábanas,...) pero en los suelos había pelo de perro o gato. A simple vista no se veía por el tipo de suelo, pero al barrer sí. Andrew pasaba a diario y arregló algún problema que tuvimos. La casa podría estar mejor mantenida, los sofás son cómodos pero la tapicería está para cambiar. Hay suficiente vajilla y cubertería, las cacerolas estaban bien y las sartenes era nuevas. La casa tiene la cocina, salón, 3 dormitorios y un baño en la edificación principal, y adosada a ésta está el dormitorio más grande con el baño más grande. Nosotros los los utilizamos porque tienen un cierto olor a humedad, y preferimos estar en la edificación principal. Además la puerta del baño no tenía picaporte, y la de entrada a esta zona no se podía cerrar desde dentro (esto lo arregló Andrew cuando se lo dijimos). La piscina está bastante resguardada del viento, así que aun cuando hacía viento de levante pudimos estar a gusto en ella. Casi nunca hay cobertura de móvil con las compañías españolas (sólo hay de forma esporádica), pero sí hay buena cobertura de móvil y datos con las compañías marroquíes. Esto hizo que estuviéramos muy desconectados, inicialmente nos contrarió, pero al final lo agradecimos. la verdad es que ¡es estupendo estar desconectado!.

Good & Bad...

We saved up with family members for a weeks vacation at Andrew's home. Let's get to the good: Location is beautiful with amazing views. The pics of the house are accurate in that it is very simply furnished inside. Nice tv and satellite connection. Beds comfortable. You can hike down to the water although no beach really. Prepare for the famous Tarifa winds and flies...but flies are just part of nature to deal with. The Bad: For what we paid for the place, we were surprised at how many things had not been maintained. The only thing I needed for work was internet and made sure this was available. But----no internet connection which forced me to run to town everyday (sometimes twice). Big hassle. No microwave, doors coming off hinges, kitchen sink nozzle was broken not replaced until 5th day. A little bit of TLC would go a long way. Would love to give more stars, but we felt that for what we paid, it should have been in better shape. Wish Andrew the best in the future.
