A lovely place to stay for your visit to Cahors

This was a very well equipped, tidy & quiet apartment. The bed was very comfortable and the double sinks, powerful hot shower with a separate toilet made staying here a dream. The lounge verandah was given some privacy with bamboo plants. The Wifi signal was excellent, an added bonus. A great boulangerie is within walking distance and the city of Cahors a 15min walk into the centre. Intermache supermarket is 10mins away by car. We will return.

Appartement within walking distance of Cahors

Excellent apartment a stone's throw from the centre of Cahors. Very quiet area. All mod cons. Wifi fast and reliable. Garage a couple of hundred yds away is a real boon as you can just leave the car and explore on foot. Christian and Nadine arranged to be there for our arrival and showed us round. They're a lovely couple and made us feel welcome. Only comment worth making is that there's a charge for sheets - that wasn't clear when we booked. I'd rather that cost was just bundled in but understand sone people may prefer to bring their own bedding. Would recommend.

Not as expected

Several issues Two weeks before email received advising booking cancelled. After several telephone calls to Host and Stayz office reconfirmed, the Stayz office claim they could not see the message canceling the booking, quite strange. Host did not know anything about the cancellation email. You can image our concern. Then received an email advising of linen and cleaning charges, not foreshadowed on website. The directions to the property were not particularly clear. Of the two terraces listed, only one in use, over the next 3 weeks, contractors wanted access five times to work on the back terrace, not useable until the day before we left. Internet was unbelievably slow, download test at 4.67 mps. The bath towels very very old and had holes in them. We did find the host and his wife quite friendly but had to communicate with them. Otherwise the location was good and parking arrangements excellent.

Not as expected

Although the layout and proximity to the town were as described we had a number of issues with the property & its description / lack of transparency on the website. The hosts seemed pleasant,non English speakers Would say the property is somewhat tired. Just over 24hrs before arrival we were informed a 25 euro cash charge would be made on arrival if we required bedding & towels, as we were already in France we had no option but to agree (they were not of very high quality)- this should have be stated when we booked. When we arrived we were told that if we weren’t prepared to clean the property on our departure this would be another cash charge of 25 euros – we declined. We left the property much cleaner than when we arrived! The freezer hadn’t been defrosted or cleaned for sometime – we chose not to use it. Lots of dust but worse was the shower. This began to overflow when first used, on inspection the drainaway was blocked with probably a year’s worth of hair, soap & goodness knows what else. Absolutely disgusting & unhygienic! The property was advertised as having a communal pool, one of the reasons why we selected it. The communal pool was the municipal pool with paid entrance at least a 10min walk away! Having read previous comments we can only assume the hosts have let their standards drop, although this does not account for the misrepresentation. All this was conveyed to Vrbo with photos & they have dealt with it, although website doesn’t seem to have been changed.

Appartement très bien situé, très agréable, calme et très propre. Je le recommande sans hésiter ! Les propriétaires sont accueillants. La proximité du centre ville est appréciable on peut s'y rendre à pied. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour !

Séjour réussi !

Le logement est conforme au descriptif : plaisant, fonctionnel et confortable, il est situé dans une résidence calme aux abords piétonniers et au voisinage sympathique. Les deux terrasses sont les bienvenues : ombre et soleil au choix, selon le moment de la journée. Le garage est appréciable; tout déplacement vers le cœur de ville, le pont Valentré ou les chemins de randonnée se fait facilement à pied ou en navette gratuite. En présence d’une enfant de 4 ans, nous avons apprécié la proximité du parc de jeux et de la piscine du quartier Ludo-Rollès, accessible à pied depuis les bords du Lot. Un séjour réussi, une météo idéale, dans un logement agréable qui donne envie de revenir à Cahors ! Merci de votre confiance, Monsieur Agnès.

Cahors in September

This was a great apartment for us to explore the Lot valley and Cahors. Close to town which is easy to reach on foot. A lovely quiet neighborhood and a great base in the region. Christian and Nadine were excellent hosts.

Very pleasant and convenient

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very spacious, clean and fully equipped, with parking, and very convenient for walking into Cahors. Christian, the owner, was very helpful.

On ne peut rêver mieux

De l’accueil - comme si nous étions des amis - à l’appartement, tout était parfait. L’hôte a communiqué avec nous régulièrement pour s’enquérir de nos besoins. Il y a d’autres locations à Cahors, mais en ce qui nous concerne ce sera un retour dans celle-ci. Si je pouvais mettre un 6 je le ferais. Nous conseillons vivement ! Jean-Marc et Danielle

Wonderful location, quiet neighborhood, but easy walk to downtown. And TWO terraces!

Very easy, though we do not speak much French. The owner is very friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
