Situated within the grounds of the owner’s home and working farm, these two semi-detached, single-storey barn conversions and detached cottage are comfortable holiday homes from which to explore the delights that the Forest of Dean has to offer. A tour of the farm to see the livestock can be arranged directly with the owner.
Each property benefits from a wood burner or electric coal-effect fire, perfect for keeping cosy in the winter months. To the front of the properties is a shared lawned area where guests are welcome to enjoy picnics.
Cider Press Barn (ref UK12379) offers three bedrooms, two double, one with an en-suite shower room, and a further single. To the rear of the property is a private, enclosed courtyard garden with a built in barbecue, great for al fresco dining. The courtyard itself is a sun trap and is perfect for relaxing in the evenings.
Lambing Shed (ref UK12380) is a characterful property, though what really stands out is the attention and thought that has gone into the kitchen and living space, encouraging families to spend time together. The wood burner is surrounded by an outstanding open brick wall, providing a rustic appeal. From the kitchen window you have a great view across the farm courtyard and over the fields. Off the living room is a double bedroom with en-suite facilities, and further down the hallways is a twin bedroom and a shower room.
In the Forest of Dean itself, there are many picnic sites, pathways and cycle tracks to be found. Outdoor activities are plentiful with riding and canoeing available in the local area and the cathedral city of Gloucester is within easy driving distance. Shop and pub under 1 mile, restaurant 1½ miles.

The cottage is lovely, really well finished. The owners do a great job in providing all you need from tea, coffee and milk to dishwasher tablets and towels.The location was ideal for us, right on the edge of the forest.

We loved the cottage, the area and the friendly owners.
We loved the cottage, the area and the friendly owners. Lots to see and do in the area, supermarket close by plus lovely pubs.
The cottage was clean and very comfortable. Our son had a walk round the farm too which was lovely.

We all had a first class holiday here.
We all had a first class holiday here. Very comfortable cottage and great base to explore Cotswolds and Brecon Beacons albeit with about an hour’s drive on either side. Not a moment of boredom. Not much of a garden but still excellent value for money.
