About Jacqueline Rhyner
I grew up in ILL. Married in 1960, spent 2 yrs as an Army wife in Maryland. Moved to northern Wisc. in 1962. Raised 4 children and bought this property in 1970. Spent the weekends and holidays for the next 32 yrs here at the lake. We built the main section and after my husband passed, I made this into a year round home. It has been a work in progress ever since. Added the two bedrooms, baths, and laundry room in 1998. Then added the 2 car garage. It is still a work in progress.
Jacqueline Rhyner purchased this Lodge in 1970
Why Jacqueline Rhyner chose Phillips
Looking for a place on the lake, and this property came up at a reasonable price. We have loved being on the lake and have spent many wonderful years here and have many wonderful memories.
What makes this Lodge unique
I don't know what the unique benefits of this property over others, all I know is that we have loved being here. I love to sit on the deck in the morn with my coffee and a good book. The fishing is good, boating, canoeing and lately there are a lot of kayaks. Love to watch the water flow, and the sunsets are breathtaking. In the winter, the snowmobile trail passes in front of the cottage and we have plenty of room for snowmobile trailers

Loved the house.
We really enjoyed our stay at your home. It was clean, cozy and has beautiful view of the lake....which is only 60 feet from the deck. We loved having the dock for our boat and the chain of lakes is just beautiful. The location is just outside of town so it was very easy to get to the stores and the people we talked with were very friendly. Next year it might be a Fall trip for the colors. Thank you again.
Thank you Lisa, for the wonderful review. Will be looking forward to your next visit. Jackie
Had a great time! Lovely sunset, enjoyed being right on the water! Good fishing! Place was very clean; had everything we needed and Jackie was fantastic to work with! :) we will definitely stay here again!
fishing trip with my cousin
This is a small cozy house located about 100 feet from the shore of Wilson Lake part of the Phillips chain of lakes. there are two docks and a unique sitting area at the end of one of those docks. with a smaller (16') boat we were able to access the rest of the flowage. there is abundant wildlife around the cabin as it sits adjacent to an open field of grass.
We enjoyed our stay!
Very peaceful and enjoyable stay
This is our second visit and Jackie is a very considerate host. The house was very clean and she had everything ready to use for our convenience. The house is very close to the water and you get a really nice evening breeze off the lake. Fishing was really good as well. Will plan to definitely stay again. Overall very relaxing vacation.
Location is excellent, all the amenities are included. Loved the fireplace in the evening. Small but sufficient for 4 people. Great lakes to explore! Would visit again.
Comfortable cottage by a beautiful lake
When we first pulled in the road to the cottage we were greeted by 5 deer and we knew were in the right place! Although it was early May the lake was still frozen but the weather was nice so we just enjoyed the peace and quiet of the lake in the evening with an occasionally loon in the distance, during the day we went to several State and National parks in the area, the pine trees, lakes and rivers were beautiful and we even saw a Moose! Phillips is nice friendly little town with several good restaurants, the cottage is well stocked and comfortable and Jackie is very nice and easy to work with...We're planning on coming back next year when the lake is not frozen.....
The main activity would be water sports: fishing, kayaking, tubing, water skiing, canoeing, Golf course is about 7 miles by car, can take boat as they have a dock and a restaurant. Closest bar and grill is in walking distance about a mile. In town There are 2 sport shops with fishing supplies, kayak rentals, restaurants, etc.
