Perfect apartment in the perfect neighborhood

Clean, neat and efficient - is Jean Swiss? Seriously, it was a great choice for me, my wife, sister and son (he slept on the convertible couch. It was an upscale neighborhood, lose to the Seine with great shopping and restaurants. Jean was excellent in communication.

Nice room enjoyed our stay . The room was great shower leaks and dryer slow but would stay again in a minute.

Lovely, safe home away from home!

The apartment is exactly as pictured. Clean, modern and well appointed. Near many activities in Le Marais including our favorite, Musée de Picasso. Merci boucoup.

Perfect in everyway. Great space, great location.

We had 3 generations stay in this compact apartment. It was small but as we were out all day, it was not a problem at all. We even had my daughter sleep over on occasion (she is studying in Paris for 6 months) and the couch folded out to a very comfortable bed. The location is great and the owner very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Our Paris Home in Delightful Marais

Our family of 5 (young 20 yr adults and parents) enjoyed our weeklong stay at this quaint first floor apartment on a quiet street, nestled in a private courtyard-fronted apartment building. We experienced Parisian living with locals while touring this beautiful city. The location was perfect - close to metro, major sights with easy uber pick ups and easy walks to city landmarks. We liked being in a quiet neighborhood, away from the hustle and bustle of tourist areas. Restaurants, boulangeries and patisseries were plentiful and within walking distance as well as local stores. The apt. was steps away from Picasso museum so easy as a map reference. The apartment was modern, very clean and comfortable. Furniture, appliances and rooms were updated and in working order. We especially liked the kitchenette and washer/dryer combo. The pullout sofa bed was comfortable as were the other beds in rooms. The one full bathroom worked well for our party of 5. Our host/owner was most attentive, helpful and cared about our visit. He responded quickly and provided updates leading up to and during our trip. His house cleaner was also very helpful and available anytime we needed. We booked 8 months in advance of our trip which I highly recommend if you chose to secure this lodging. I especially appreciated the security - keyed access into building complex and keyed automatic external door screens. Since we visited in August 2019, it was a hot Summer so the owner provided fans to keep all rooms cool and air circulating. Also, wireless worked well and electrical outlets were plentiful. Staying at this delightful lodging really made our first time visit to Paris extra special. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family. If you're going with a bigger party, look to book the owner's second apartment next door. Thank you Jean for your amazing accommodations! A Family from San Francisco/Bay Area, USA (Note: AirBNB is in conflict with Paris government and regulators, Summer 2019, so do your planning and make sure your lodging booking is legal to avoid any future issues. VRBO worked great for us in this instance.)

Fantastic Location

Nice, clean property. Fantastic neighborhood (right by the Picasso Museum!) Great local bistros and shopping. Only downside is that there is no air conditioning and there is no cross wind, as the only window/door is at the entry. We were there in July 2019 when Paris had record-breaking heat. Very helpful people. Would go back in a heartbeat

Sleepless in Le Marais

Our family of four stayed in this property for four nights in early July 2019. The property was clean, modern and had all the amenities promised. The neighborhood was hip and had excellent shopping, and the Picasso Museum is literally around the corner. Our only complaint was that the apartment gets so stuffy and hot at night that we all could barely sleep. Paris day temperatures were mild, so we were surprised to find the apartment so hot at the end of a long day of activities. Owners do provide strong fans for every room, but ultimately ventilation was poor. The windows between rooms do not open. We did not feel comfortable leaving the front door open all night. That said, it really is a lovely building and safe neighborhood. Everything else worked fine in the apartment. The little courtyard was charming. Neighbors were friendly enough. Manager Jean communicated with me effectively. I’d only recommend that they make the other windows in the apartment open for ventilation and install a cooling device of some kind.

Great space, Great experience

We needed a space with two bedrooms and struggled to find something that would work. This apartment fit us and our trip plans very nicely. It had space that was "just right" and a very nice bathroom/shower. The washer/dryer were appreciated as were the few extras that were in the apartment - like hand soap, coffee filters, etc. which we didn't have to worry about purchasing right away. The area was quiet and felt very safe. The metro wasn't a far walk, and there were plenty of restaurants and stores in the area. We stopped at LaDelicieuse several mornings for croissants, and they were so friendly and helpful! Our first meal was at Comptoir Turenne which was excellent, too! I would recommend this apartment and this location in Paris for your stay. If we go back, we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Very nice apartment at an excellent PARIS neighborhood

Everything is clean, new and functional. The apartment is in a very calm and quiet building but in the center of Paris. Very close to metro stations, drugstores, supermarkets. I stayed there with my husband and children and all of us really enjoyed.

Gem in the Marais!

We rented both apartments and we loved it! The places are spotless and have all the utilities you need for your stay. It is very well located in the Marais, just a step away from all the things the Marais is known for, but still quiet and away from the constant buzz. Our hostess Genevieve was amazing and took very well care of us. Definetely a place we would like to visit again!

Staying here gave us a great opportunity to explore the Marais, a vibrant and history-filled section of Paris. The apartment was perfect, newly renovated, clean lines, new appliances. We appreciated the responsiveness of Jean, even to some last minute neighborhood restaurant recommendations. I’d stay here again in a second!!

Fantastic location

I recommend this little apartment . We enjoyed our stay very much - the area is great, close to a lot of public transport, many cafes. The apartment is small but furnished very nicely and tastefully with everything you need, and it has a lot of daylight. he made my family feel at home and gave us great advice on sightseeing and restaurants.Overall very positive experience for us. The Marais apartment was a wonderful place to stay

It was clean, the bed comfortable, plenty of hot water and good water pressure. I was met on time by the owner’’s representative, who answered all my questions. The apartment has a washing machine + dryer and it is great since I only travel with a carry on bag. Le MARAIS is quiet and very safe. Many excellent resturants on Rue de BRETAGNE, few bakeries within a few hundred feet, and a fruit market (Le MARCHE des ENFANTS ROUGE) that will squeeze fresh orange juice each morning, is around the corner. One can walk to many of the sights of Paris. Apartment is perfect. The bathroom has a shower. This is a wonderful apartment, and at the price for the location cant be beaten. I have stayed in Paris over a dozen times, and considering all factors, this is a 5 Star property. I laughed when I read the review that was sometime critical. If one wants to stay at a Ritz Carlton, then do so, but dont bring those expectations to Paris, you miss the whole point of a different culture. Heartily recommend.

The apartment is exactly as described, with one bedroom, small kitchen, small bath, and sitting area. Everything we could have needed was in the apartment, the transactions with the landlord and caretaker went smoothly, and the linens and apartment itself were spotless. We made dinner all nights using the kitchen.

A quiet, garden apartment oasis in the city

This garden apartment was a nice respite from the busy streets. We loved the location in the Marais. We found the place in clean condition. The apartment had only one window, and Paris was hot and humid during our stay. Fans were provided, but the ventilation was poor making it hard to sleep. The neighboring apartment started construction during our stay, and we were not told beforehand. There were no directions available for the washer/dryer, and we had a hard time with figuring it out. The kitchen and other appliances worked well. We loved the bathroom and shower.

Property was clean and very convenient

The 2 bedroom apartment was clean and very convenient - we really enjoyed staying in the Marais, with the Metro nearby. Store and pharmacies were nearby, as well as small cafes, not to mention the best crepes in the area. It was great having a washer/dryer available. Instructions were clear and we had no problems. While small, the apartment was well laid out for me, my daughter-in-law and my grand-daughter.
