The hosts were always quick to respond and extremely accomidating to our needs. Morning view of the lake was second to none. Location was optimal for our planned excursions each day. Don't forget to eat at Market 22 across the street...the people that own that are super nice also....

What a beautiful place to stay, very relaxing, the cabin had everything we needed for a perfect weekend and Melanie was an awesome host. Would definitely stay again!

Very Clean, Awesome Lake View, Friendly Host, and the food next door was great. Perfect place for a weekend getaway. Not too far from all the towns we wanted to visit while we were there.

Cozy cabin with everything you would need. Awesome view and great food directly across the street. Not a far drive to Leland and all the other great things to do in the area. Highly recommend staying here.

Great on-the-water cabin

The is cabin on the water was a great experience for our 4 vacationers. Lake was beautiful. Kayaks were fun. Sunset was spectacular every night. Added bonus was the absolutely delicious Market 22 right across the street. Mel was a wonderful hostess. Would most certainly stay here again.

We love this location - right on the water and easy to pop into Glen Arbor, Leland or drive to Suttons Bay / TC for more exploration. The cottage was perfect for myself, my husband, and our pup. Everything was as described and it felt very clean upon arrival. 10/10 would recommend.

Thanksgiving Hikes

We had a great time hiking in Sleeping Bear. The cabin was in a perfect location and has such pretty view right from the couch each morning. Super cozy!

Quaint Lakeside Cabin

Beautiful location on Little Traverse Lake! The cabin had all the necessary amenities and an amazing view from the living room. We were close to many beautiful destinations in Sleeping Bear Dunes lakeshore and the Leelanau Peninsula. The host was easily available and made checking in and out simple for us. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect weekend getaway

Awesome cottage right on a nice small lake. Patio, kayaks, fresh cut firewood, grill, basically anything you can imagine is provided. Would definitely rent again.

Very nice comfortable cabin in beautiful area. Has many amenities. Great deck close to water & small beach. Owner/managers are great. Had a wonderful time.

We loved it!

Cute and cozy cottage! Very clean and well stocked! Beautiful view with the lake just steps from the front door. Great pizza and cocktails right across the street. We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic place to stay

Mel’s cottage is just as described. It is a cute little cottage on a beautiful lake. The restaurant right across the street is a great place for pizza, a snack, breakfast or a drink. The area is loaded with things to do. Traverse City is just close enough to be accessible and far enough to be away from the crowd.

Fantastic place to stay

Cottage was quite nice. Upgraded floors and furniture from last time we stayed a few years ago. Perfect for a small family of four. Clean and well kept. Everything you need to cook home cooked meals. 5 stars. Will stay again next time we’re in the area.

Family Getaway

This was the perfect location for our annual fall family color tour! The property was perfect for our family of 4. The location was stunning! To be so close to the water and have coffee on the deck was wonderful. We really enjoyed the cozy fireplace. And the restaurant across the street is an absolute gem! We will be trying to book here again for our future trips to the Leelanau area.

Accommodations + Location

This little cabin is perfect - great location between all of our favorite Leelanau destinations and with a tiny little "beach" right on Little Traverse Lake. Mel + Neal could not be more accommodating. Their pride of ownership is evident in how clean they keep their cabin, and they go out of their way to make sure their guests are comfortable and taken care of.
