OFF SITE Studio Apartment Ensuite at The Three Horseshoes Hotel

This apartment can accommodate 1, 2, 3 or 4 people, however please note the double occupancy rate will only be for 1 King Bed. Twin occupancy with both the King and Sofa bed, is available at a supplement.

OFF SITE Studio Apartment features a King Size bed and also a Sofa Bed (in the lounge), en-suite bathroom, flat screen colour TV with freeview (in the lounge), fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, hairdryer, Iron and Ironing Board and Free Wi-Fi.

Includes Full English breakfast at the main hotel building.
In the centre of the historic market town of Barnard Castle, set in the heart of beautiful Teesdale, the highly recommended Three Horseshoes Hotel originally built in the 17th century is a perfect base for visiting this stunning area steeped in history and natural beauty.

All 14 en-suite bedrooms have the necessary modern comforts and the highest level of luxury. Our en-suites have top of the range fixtures and fittings. Standard features in your room include large comfortable beds, TV, free wi-fi and hairdryers. A selection of made to order breakfast options are served in our restaurant where you can also enjoy good quality food made from fresh ingredients at lunch and evening times. Our bar will always offer a warm welcome, you can enjoy anything from a coffee, beer, snack or something from our main menu. If the weather permits spend some time outside in our beautiful beer garden where you can soak up the sun. There is free parking in our own car park. Dogs are welcome in the beer garden but not inside the hotel.

The hotel is also a stone's throw away from the majestic River Tees, the Historic Castle and a ten-minute walk from the Bowes Museum. We have excellent facilities for walkers and cyclists who will be delighted with the choice of paths and routes immediately accessible in this picturesque area. Barnard Castle is the gateway to the magnificent Teesdale valley and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering some of the most beautiful and rugged scenery. We are only a short drive away from: Raby Castle, Low Force and High Force one of England’s largest waterfalls.

Good clean accommodation. Helpful, friendly staff and good food. For a person with mobility issues the floor was quite slippery in the main room and the bathroom and the toilet was low. Apart from that the accommodation was excellent.

Great village Inn with rooms. We stayed in the annex this time ( just across the road ). The facilities were great. The bar and dining room in the Inn has a great vibe. My favourite place to stay in Barnard Castle.

From checking in to checking out the staff could not have been more cheerful and helpful. Everyone we came across was enthusiastic and couldn’t do enough to help. Accommodation was great and the breakfast was excellent. The beer in the pub was perfect and the live band were brilliant too.

Stayed for a 3 night break and as usual couldn't fault anything. Said it before but this is the only place to stay in Barney, best accomodation, best food and best pub.

Enjoyed our stay (we stayed in 'the stables' room) and would recommend, room was clean although some lights were not working and while the room had a very small heater which was needed as the radiant heat was not working or rather turned off and we could not turn on.

Exceeded expectations

Short break visiting family and local sites. We were not sure what to expect as booked off site accommodation on internet. We were not disappointed it is a gem of a place. We ate in hotel far more than we had planned as it was so nice. Would definitely recommend this place and will be returning.

Fantastic Stay

What can I say, simply can't fault the Three Horseshoes at all. Excellent service and friendliness from the staff, one of the cleanest rooms we have stayed in, and the breakfast was excellent too. We booked the Stables off site accommodation which is more like a mini apartment and has everything you could need including a small kitchen area. The furnishings are all to a very high standard too, well done to the owners. We will most certainly be back for a long weekend next time.
