Lovely place! Great place to experience Lucca wihin the walls in a beautifully decorated apartment. We came with 2 small kids and it worked out very well. Chiara and the team were very friendly and helpful and went the extra mile getting us a fan and letting us check in a little late.

Perfect Location

We were in Lucca to attend the language school for a week and this was the perfect apartment. It was the perfect size for two people, super clean and had everything we could possibly need. It was in a gorgeous neighborhood in the center of the city and a five minute walk to the school. Sonia, the manager, was attentive and lovely and we enjoyed ourselves immensely! Complimenti!

Still perfect

My month at Casa Kathy last year was so delightful I returned again for a month this year. It was still perfect. At the base of a ramp up to the wall, I begin each day with a view of the walkers on the wall and the trees and mountains beyond. Tons of natural light streams in. I'm a close stroll to Piazza San Frediano with the grocery store there and the "main drag" [via Fillungo] there too. Quiet at night for easy sleep, great wi-fi for streaming, and the best furnishings and decorations and kitchen gear of any VRBO where I have ever stayed.

Too many contacts and no ONE real person in charge

Facility and location was wonderful. However arrival and departure processes were not good. No one person involved with any of our specific questions and concerns. We were referred to at least four different individuals during our arrival and stay which left us completely uncomfortable, especially if we had an emergency . We needed ONE individual that we could call upon if needed .Any other VRBO we have used never had this difficulty. We always knew what to do and whom to contact. This needs an immediate revision in my opinion.

The apartment is charming and very conveniently located. Being steps away from the Wall provided great view and convenient access. The support from Chiara and her associates was timely and very helpful. Beds are super comfortable . Interior shutters provided dark and cozy condition for great sleeping. The apartment could be more thoroughly equipped for long term guests. Considering more equipment for cooking would be nice. We had to purchase some equipment since I was there for 6 weeks. There is some ambient noise from the apartment above, due to hard surfaces and heel strike and moving items on marble floors. This was not excessive but it did sometimes intrude. Other than that the place was quiet.

Wonderful location

Wonderful location just steps from the wall! Beautiful and comfortable apartment walkable to all the restaurants and shops that historic Lucca has to offer, but also walkable to the main grocery store just outside the walls. A previous reviewer mentioned noise of people gathering near the windowsomething. I stayed six weeks and there was no one gathering. There is no barrestaurant next doorany noise like that. Yes, you can hear people walking and talking as they walk by (to the wall) but that is village life. And there are birds singing outside the windows every morning with their morning song. If you find those are negatives you should probably look for a different spot. One thing to note if you are coming in the summer is that there is AC in only one bedroom not both. But overall a lovely stay.

Altstadtwohnung ohne Parkplatz vor Ort

Das Objekt liegt in der Innenstadt von Lucca, wo der Innenring nicht befahrbar ist. Die Altstadt ist an den Zufahrten mit dem Auto videoüberwacht! Somit ist bei Befahrung ein Bußgelder zu erwarten! Teuer! Der Ofen war bei unserem Aufenthalt nicht angeschlossen und das Induktionsfeld mit 220v betrieben, somit funktionierte auch nur eine Platte. Damit mussten wir leben und arrangierten uns damit. Ist aber ärgerlich. Nach der Abreise ca. 2 Wochen, bekamen wir eine Mail wo der Innhalt uns wunderte! Wir hätten in der Wohnung Schäden hinterlassen. Gardinenstange runtergerissen, Stühle demoliert, Vorhänge zerrissen, Fensterlädenaufhängung demontiert. Wir sollten mehrere hundert Euros zahlen. Eine Frechheit. Unsere Tochter hatte Fotos gemacht wo wir gekommen sind und da war alles schon so. Wir sind von den Vorkommnissen absolut enttäuscht. Für uns ein Grund nie wieder hinzufahren.

Close to everything in a quiet pocket of town. Parking is outside of the wall (10 min walk). Highly recommended. The plus is a view out of the window at the mountains in the morning!
