THE PROPERTY

Beautiful, light and airy modern self-contained, fully furnished renovation with ample private parking & free WiFi. The cottage features a sunny, terracotta tiled, south facing private terrace and private garden, with astonishing panoramic views of The Pyrenees.
The comfortable cottage profits from a peaceful & quiet countryside setting with stunning views of the famous Montsegur castle, located just 15km down the valley. For lazy days, relaxing seating is provided on the terrace. For al fresco dining, a small table and chairs can be found in the garden, and a BBQ is available at the property.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

The cottage is located less than 5 minutes walk from the splendid village of Roquefixade with its well known Cathar chateau, church and fountain.

There are an abundance of fabulous walking trails accessible directly from the property, and a lovely restaurant / bar in the village where guests can enjoy fresh, seasonal home cooked French cuisine, beer, wine and coffee. 

With a car ride, guests can access more advanced trekking, climbing, cave tours, karting, wakeboarding, stunning lakes, tax free shopping in Andorra, and so much more.

Organic and traditional supermarkets, restaurants, weekly markets and a multitude of cultural events can be found in the nearby town of Foix, approximately 15-20mins by car from the property.

Foix castle (16km) sits proudly above the town, beautiful to regard from the market square by day with a cappuccino, or illuminated colourfully by night with a glass of wine.

THE SPACE

The tastefully decorated cottage is a fully-furnished, self-contained building with a large open plan kitchen / dining / living room area, separate bedroom, bathroom and utility room. Recently refurbished, well insulated, warm and comfortable. 

Guests wake up to the sound of birds singing and staggering views of the full mountain range.

Quality towels and bed linen are provided as well as a full range of toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner and body wash. A hairdryer, iron and ironing board are also provided. 

Guests who enjoy cooking enjoy a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, oven, cooking hob and microwave. A good selection of utensils, pots and pans, salt, pepper herbs and spices are provided.

GUEST ACCESS

The cottage is on the grounds of the hosts’ house, and the driveway is shared. However, guests are not overlooked and enjoy complete privacy at the property. 

The accommodation features a private entrance and secure key box for a smooth check in experience.

Toulouse & Carcassonne Airports are easily accessed, both approximately 1hr 15min drive from the property. Electric car fee: €15 per charge.
