If you want a real Canarian experience, yet with all the comforts of home, plus your own hot tub, come and stay in our pretty rural authentic Canarian house on one level built from traditional stone dating approx from 1890 on the outskirts of the lovely old town of San Miguel de Abona in south Tenerife, 560 metres above sea level. The house, which sleeps a maximum of 3 people, is comfortably furnished in a rustic style with character wooden beamed ceilings and cool whitewashed walls. Its spacious layout offers 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 single), newly renovated shower room, lounge/dining room and a separate fully equipped kitchen with a quirky cave like feel, all leading from a central hallway. The house has all the home comforts you need.
Outside, our guests enjoy their own enclosed private south facing garden which is on 3 levels. The top level has a table and 4 chairs with an umbrella plus a rustic style BBQ for alfresco dining and on the middle level are sun loungers and umbrella. This area is a real sun trap! On the lower level we have created a relaxing chillout area with seating, patio heater for cooler evenings and a corner pergola incorporating a misting system, perfect for cooling off in hot weather. There is also a hot tub for our guests’ sole use which we're sure you'll especially enjoy at night under the stars with a glass of something chilled by your side! The garden offers pleasant views to the sea, surrounding countryside and mountains. Guests have their own separate entrance so are able to come and go as they please plus there's free parking directly outside the property.
No sharing of common areas - our guests have the whole house and garden for themselves.
Ideally suited to couples and is perfect for those seeking a relaxing holiday away from the tourist resorts as this is a quiet rural residential area. It's a great get-away-from-it-all honeymoon destination too. Relax on your sun lounger during the day and when the sun goes down, enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine in the chill out area before savouring a romantic BBQ in the garden or take a stroll up to the village to sample traditional Canarian cuisine or tapas in the local restaurants, cafés and bars. End your day with a relaxing dip in the hot tub under the stars ...
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
PRICING Prices are for the property per night BASED ON 2 ADULTS OUTSIDE PEAK SEASON (1ST JULY - 31ST AUGUST & CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR). Prices for peak season & prices for 3 people are available ON REQUEST.
DAMAGES DEPOSIT A 50 pounds/60 euros security deposit is payable on arrival to cover any damage during your stay. This will be refunded on departure subject to a satisfactory inspection of the property.
FINAL CLEANING CHARGE Since the Covid 19 pandemic we have implemented an enhanced cleaning procedure. We allow a minimum of 24 hours between guests' departure and our next guests arriving, giving us plenty of time to thoroughly clean and sanitise the house. We also provide extra cleaning supplies for you, so you can clean as you stay, should you wish to do so and there is sanitising gel and plastic gloves for your use. Due to all the above, there is a FINAL CLEANING CHARGE of €50. We do all our cleaning ourselves and don't have outside help. We hope that by following the above guidelines and enhanced cleaning process, our guests will feel at ease and comfortable staying in our house and know that we’re doing all we can for our community’s health and well-being.

Changeover day is flexible, as is time of check in/departure
We are unable to accept pets as we have cats of our own here who may come to visit you in the garden - especially if you're doing a BBQ!! :)

We had an absolutely fabulous holiday in this apartment. The hosts Val and Emlyn were super friendly and really helpful with suggestions of things to do and places to eat/go. The apartment itself is lovely, really well equipped and the outside space is fantastic - you can sit in the sun or in the shade, and cool off in the misting corner! Would definitely recommend - don't delay, book now :-)

Wonderful flat in quiet town with fantastic views. 20 minutes drive to the touristy beaches/places. Perfect holiday. Val and Emlyn are very friendly and accommodating hosts who live next door.

Communication with Val and Emlyn ( the owners ) was great , very friendly and knowledgeable.
Property, spotlessly clean and well equipped . Good parking , and within walking distance to restaurants, the village , has all amenities you need and is very friendly place. Would book again.

Agréable finca pour visiter la région loin de la foule
Superbe rénovation d'une ancienne étable. La terrasse est magnifique et bien aménagée. Vous pouvez choisir un endroit ou un autre en fonction du temps et du vent. Les hôtes (Val et son mari) sont charmants et très disponibles. Pièces aveugles un peu sombres en cette saison mais fantastiques en été car certainement très fraîches

We're dedicated to making your stay here memorable and if you have any special requests we'll do our utmost to fulfil them.

We bought a property in San Miguel as we liked the quaintness of the village and the fact that it was situated away from the tourist areas, yet still within easy reach of them as the TF-1 motorway is just 10 minutes away. We feel very lucky to live in such a historic picturesque village and also to have several excellent restaurants within walking distance or 5 minutes drive which we're happy to recommend to our guests!

We loved the uniqueness and character of the property with its wooden ceilings, uneven whitewashed walls and general quirkiness! We also have some lovely neighbours and it's nice to live out in the countryside with views down to the coast.
