An old stone farmhouse of great character in Xaghra village in Gozo just 8 minutes walk to the square with its bars / restaurants and beautiful old church, and 5 min drive from sandy Ramla beach. There is a large secluded courtyard on entry with fountain and outside lounging and dining facilities. There is a plant filled roof terrace with 7 metre pool on the roof. The pool is maintained with a weekly visit. There is a bar/ games room in the basement with table football and tennis and darts. There is Free Wifi and a 72 inch smart TV with access to most channels including English television stations and sports channels. There is a Sonos sound system with Spotify and a music library. There is air conditioning in the living room and the three double bedrooms..

A really nice home in a great location, walking distance to restaurants in Xaghra. Sea views from the swimming pool, and plenty to do in the house for all ages. A/C was a livesaver during a very hot week in July.

Fantastic character property with everything you could need. Rooftop pool was a big hit with everyone. Owner was on top of any slight issue we reported and an appropriate person sent to rectify it asap. Nowhere is very far from the property. We were lucky to be there during the ‘festa’ so parades and fireworks a plenty.

Communications good prior to stay. Pretty house with shady courtyard and pleasant rooftop pool. Good location ten mins walk from main square with good restaurants. On bus route, taxis on app very quick. Ramla Beach close by.A proper shower over the main bath would be helpful.

Perfect family villa in Gozo

Beautiful well equipped house, ideal for a family holiday. The pool is a good size and the house has everything you could need during your stay. Would definitely recommend for a good value stay in Gozo. The owner is very helpful too with lots of details and useful local info sent in advance.

Peace and tranquility in a beautiful location

Fabulous location (parking can be a challenge!) where you can shut yourself off or explore the local area with its bars and restaurants. House has everything you might need and easily accommodate a large family or group of friends :)

Amazing Farmhouse

Would like to thank Richard for allowing my family to stay at his beautiful farmhouse for the week. Had an excellent stay in the village and exploring Gozo. Richard also kindly provided stairgates and a highchair for my granddaughter which was so thoughtful and of him. Had a wonderful stay and highly recommend. stay of him.

Truly exceptional property, the photos do not do it full justice.It was very well thought out with absolutely everything you could require. Lovely spacious bedrooms (especially the main which is stunning!!).The pool is wonderful and a great area for the group to hang out and cool off.Fantastic host with quick response and clear comprehensive guides to the property features.BBQ was great!Reliable WiFi downstairs Huge TV!Incredibly well stocked kitchenGreat sound system.It's worth mentioning that althought it states only 2 bathrooms, it is actually a main bathroom, and en suite to the downstairs room and also an additional separate toilet, perfect!!!Walk into town was pleasant and super easy, pretty much a 4* restaurant for every night of the week and incredibly friendly and good value.Parking was not the easiest but absolutely doable and you just have to accept it's an old narrow street village (which is why it is beautiful).Absolutely perfect stay for 2 adults and 3 teenagers.Honestly, just book this and you will hardly want to leave the farmhouse!!! This is a very well through our property and experienced host

Really enjoyed the property and the island. The property was very good with lots of space for everyone. Charming Character Property

The property is equipped with everything you could need, full of character and plenty of space. The rooftop pool is spectacular and well positioned. Location was good, easy access to restaurants and supermarkets. We felt the bathrooms needing modernising and the house could do with a deep clean bringing the property to an excellent standard but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property.

Gozo 2023

The photos don’t do it justice, we felt in reality the property has a great deal more charm and character. The roof top pool is very nicely laid out and a lovely contemporary contrast to the more traditional architecture of the house. It’s very well equipped in terms of the kitchen, games room & living areas.

Great holiday villa!

We really enjoyed our stay in Xaghra. The villa was perfect for our family and you can tell that the owner has invested in the property to make it very comfortable and well equipped. Communication with the owner, Richard and also the property management team in Gozo was easy and any queries were dealt with quickly. The beds were comfy and the air conditioning was very effective at keeping us cool during the heat wave. The property is near to the centre of Xaghra, so supermarkets and restaurants are nearby. We also loved the rooftop pool, which was quite spectacular!

2 weeks in gozo.

The property is in an excellent position and is very well equipped and set out. Town centre is a 10 minute walk away and there are plenty of bus stops if you dont have a car and the service is excellent. All the food we ate at restaurants was lovely with large portion sizes and good variety. We met some lovely people in the square and overall the locals are very friendly. I would note that the house was absolutely ideal for us, 2 adults, but i would be wary if i had mobility issues or if i had young children as there are a lot of steps and stairs and potential fall hazards. For us though it was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

The outdoor areas are the higlight of this booking! Great location.Not sure it is good value though.

A very nice house; Xargha a BEAUTIFUL VILLAGE.We LOVED THE OUTDOOR AREAS - the pool and the outdoor dining area by the fountain.COMMUNICATION WITH RICHARD WAS VERY GOOD (until we raised our concerns, then he stopped communicating). We received check in info a few weeks before arriving and Richard replied quickly whenever we had an issue.Beds comfortable; main bedroom huge. Others mention parking problems, but I never had to park more than 150m away.We did have some issues:Guests should realise that there is really ONLY ONE SHOWER, and it is accessed through a bedroom.We arrived to find that the house was not cleaned. Our phones were not connecting to the local network, so we were stressed as we had no idea how long we might have to wait. Richard apologised unreservedly (even though it was not his fault - the cleaner had made a mistake with dates), got the cleaner in within half hour of us getting in touch with him, and arranged a 'very adequate' compensation. WELL HANDLED!A few things (umbrella struts, a bed, pool life-ring) BROKE through normal use. Again, Richard ARRANGES FIXING VERY QUICKLY.There is a BBQ, but the only tools are kitchen utensils. A couple of lights flickered and 'buzzed', a mouse appeared a few times, many of the surfaces are dusty, sunbed covers are sunfaded (not as pictured), keys can be tricky.By the end of the week we felt that the house NEEDED A DEEP CLEAN and much of the furniture SHOULD BE UPDATED TO BE WORTH WHAT IS CHARGED.

Sehr gut ausgestattetes Farmhaus mit gemĂŒtlicher AtmosphĂ€re

Unser 14tĂ€giger Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gut gefallen! Das Haus hatte mehr als genug Platz fĂŒr eine fĂŒnfköpfige Familie. Die Ausstattung war super, die KĂŒche hatte wirklich alles, was man sich wĂŒnscht und Waschmaschine und GeschirrspĂŒler sind auch im Urlaub eine tolle Hilfe 😃. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr einfach und Richard hat uns sehr viele Informationen zur VerfĂŒgung gestellt. Der Pool auf dem Dach war ein besonderes Highlight! Auch wenn man mal "zu Hause" gemĂŒtlich abhĂ€ngen wollte, hatte das Haus viele Ecken, in denen man chillen konnte. Die Aircondition war bei der Hitze und SchwĂŒle gerade nachts super. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden.

charmantes historisches Bauernhaus

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefĂŒhlt im nett eingerichteten Haus, morgens und abends im gemĂŒtlich und begrĂŒnten Innenhof gegessen. Der Pool auf dem Dach war das Highlight, der Blick reicht ĂŒber Xaghra hinaus bis zum Meer. Wenn es ĂŒberhaupt etwas zu bemĂ€ngeln gab, dann waren es die Ameisen, vielleicht waren wir aber zu sorglos mit Obst...

Lovely house in great location

We had a wonderful week in Richard’s house in Xaghra. It is so full of character and well modernised with a wonderful pool on the roof. Walking in from the street is like entering a secret garden. The door opens into a completely private courtyard with a fountain, welcome shade and a table and chairs where we ate all our meals. The house has everything you could need and made the perfect base from which to explore Gozo, providing a lovely welcoming sanctuary on our return from a day out. Richard was a great host - very communicative and extremely helpful laying out the house rules, describing amenities in the local area and he allowed us a late checkout which was very gracious. All in all a memorable holiday and a highly recommended property.

This is a family owned property and used by the family for long holidays and let out for a few months only. It is decorated and furnished as a much loved private family holiday home rather than a bare letting house.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

This is a somewhat quirky property built entirely of solid local limestone and parts of it are of considerable antiquity. There is a newly built roof terrace with the well maintained 7 metre pool and sunbathing and seating areas. There is a cheerful bar/games room in the basement with a football table. The village square is a short (8 min)walk away and has cafes and restaurants and an imposing church.

Secluded attractive well planted courtyard garden with antique fountain. Long dining table and director chairs under a large umbrella.
The property is well located in terms of closeness to the island''s main beach at Ramla Bay (5 mins drive). It is also close the the harbour at Mgarr with some good restaurants and views and with swift access to and from the ferry.. It is 5 minutes drive from the capital, Victoria, with its imposing and ancient Citadella and the quaint narrow streets of the Old Town.
The historic and important Gigantija temples ( older than the pyramids!) are just a seven minute walk away.
