Nestled in exotic tropical gardens in the jungle-clad hills overlooking the famous Whale’s Tail, this 4 bedroom villa with an additional guesthouse of 2 bedroom on the property offers all of the comforts of home but with ocean views that rival none in the Southern Pacific Coast. Enjoy a cup of the famous Costa Rican coffee with the visiting toucans, cool off in the private infinity pool, or enjoy a spectacular sunset over the ocean with your favorite tropical drink.

We are happy to have been one of the first in this home. The home was breathtaking. Everything about it was nice. Each room has its own bathroom. The master bedroom is upstairs and has its own balcony. 3 bedrooms (including master) has a wonderful ocean view. 1 bedroom has a view towards the covered carport and jungle. The kitchen and outside area had plenty of room for a large group (mine was a group of 7). They had everything we need to cook and eat (plates, pots, pans, silverware, etc.) We felt very safe at this location. It is in a gated community that is manned by security 24/7. The pool has lights in it which made for a wonderful view at night. The tv in the living room was large enough for viewing with people sitting in the living room and kitchen bar area. There was also a wine cooler. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Don't be hesitant by the limited reviews. Once travel picks up, I'd expect the number of reviews to pick up fast. This is our 2nd time staying in this area and first time in this home. It's pricey but well worth it if you need the space. The cost wasn't a big deal since we traveled in a large group. Also there is plenty of parking. We easily fit two cars and could have probably fit 2-3 more. Two of the non master bedrooms still felt like master bedrooms since one walked out to the couch area under the gazebo and the other had chairs just outside its glass doors as if it were another balcony.

Sylvia March 2021 We got to be the first guests in this beautiful luxurious house!!!! Everything was beyond expected. The distribution plan, the details, the large pool, the pagoda, the views, the appliances!!! A beautiful architectural design and so well finished. There are three king bedrooms in the main floor, each one with its private bathroom. My parents and in laws appreciated this so much!! My little daughters enjoyed doing “yoga” in the beautiful perfect space!!! Everything is brand new and the views are to die for!! We witnessed three beautiful out of the world sunsets!!! The sun was just in front of us!!! At night the pool has beautiful sets of lights and if you turn everything off you get to see thousands of stars!!!! So quite, so private and yet we felt very secure (the house is in a gated community and it even has an alarm) All of our cars were 2x4 and we were able to drive up the hills (it’s worth to mention that the roads were dry). The communication was easy, fast and we felt welcomed since day 1. We would love to be back soon!!!

For a newly posted airnbnb to have no reviews yet but such immaculate photos, one would only hope that it lives up to the hype. Let me tell you, this property was certainly as advertised! Especially when you're relaxing in the affinity pool and look over to see a family of monkeys in a tree relaxing just as much as you are. What a lovely experience! I must say, there was some minor design flaws with the home. The master bedroom constantly had many insects insides due to the the design of the window in the shower not having a seal. Also the air conditioning units leaked heavy condensation. To the point where it was leaking from the ceiling. Nonetheless these minor issues did not take away from our experience. It's also worth suggesting that one obtains a driver for the duration of their trip. The terrain and distance to the property from the main road is a bit daunting. Not to mention GPS not working very well. Rachel, thank you so much for being a phenomenal host! Very fast responses for even our smallest inquiries. Until next time!

Shannon’s Place was better than described! Excellent, peaceful location with amazing views all around. Close to beaches, ATVs and other activities. 10 mins from a waterfall. We even had a few monkeys come by during our stay. The service and communication was top notch. Everything went as planned. I highly recommend this place if you are trying to relax, unwind and get away.

The house is beautiful, 5 minutes away from dominicalito and 8 away from dominical. Rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated and you have everything you need. Service and communication could improve. The housekeeeper is blunt in the way she comunicates and is little to none accomodating if your arrival does not happen at a exact checking time. We had some issues with the grid and we lost electricity and internet power more than half a day, loosing also running water with this issue. Some of our party were working “from home” and they had to travel to dominical to mantain conectivity. Overall this is a beautiful place but sevices could be better.

This house was lovely, it was 3 hours away from San Jose airport which we didn’t know until after booking, but it wasn’t bad getting there. Also keep in mind that the house is in the rain forest so the bugs will take over lol, but the home was perfect.

The property is beautifully maintained and Benigno was an absolute delight. We loved this property and the host was very responsive. Plenty of wildlife to watch and the views were amazing. The house lay out worked perfect for our whole family and we had plenty of space. Definitely a must stay property while in CR.

It says Almost heaven in the sign and it’s true. The view is just spectacular, I could’ve spent my entire trip looking through the binoculars they had in the house(huge bonus). Also the cupboard if full of kitchen staples, oils, sauces, condiments, spices, which if you air bnb as much as ido is a great thing. You don’t have to build the kitchen from scratch. There are plenty of pots, pans, glasses, plates. Super stocked! It’s high up on the mountain, you need a 4wd vehicle to get up but once you do you won’t want to leave, except maybe to go to scala, a delicious restaurant half way up the hill leading to the house. The house is quite large and it feels so roomy and relaxed. Literally like You’re in the garden of Eden. I can’t recommend it enough.
