The 3 gorgeous holiday cottages near Monflanquin in this unspoilt corner of Lot-et-Garonne are a great option for 3 generation families or friends to enjoy an idyllic holiday together. La Balie has a very spacious wood floored studio or function room making it also a fantastic venue for yoga retreats, special interest or business groups and intimate wedding receptions.
Converted farm buildings have been transformed into characterful stone cottages retaining lots of original features yet providing contemporary luxury light filled open plan living. And La Balie has a fantastic open air heated salt water pool with sun terrace, garden and views. Couldn't be better.
All of the cottages are beautifully designed, having well equipped kitchens, dining spaces and cosy lounges with wood burning stoves. Each property has its own private courtyard with furniture for alfresco dinning, whilst there is a separate terrace perfect for everyone to eat together. Extensive lawns provide plenty of space for group games, corporate team building activities and wedding photos.
Each bedroom is styled using cool soft furnishings to create calm relaxing spaces for maximum comfort and are en suite. Of the 8 rooms, 6 have walk in showers, 2 with baths with showers. 5 of the rooms are ground floor making access easier for those less mobile. The bedrooms can be configured to suit your party. Air con in first floor rooms, ground floor rooms have stone walls and are cool!
It's unlikely guests will want to venture far from this gorgeous countryside location or the pool, but there are pleasant walks from the door including the very special circular stroll through open woodland, St Avit and the rock-hewn tower of Gavaudun. Monflanquin, a pretty bastide settlement, is a short drive away, famous for being in the top 100 most attractive villages. The area is full of interesting towns with historic attractions, craggy castles and bustling markets. Or perhaps visit one of many vineyards or try out kayaking on the Dordogne or Lot.
Owners are close by and speak English and French.

La Balie provides flexibility for everyone and is a great location too for groups with such a diverse range of activities close by. Whether visiting an historic chateau or market town, or kayaking on one of the fantastic rivers the region boasts or cycling the fantastic network of lanes and tracks through the beautiful countryside.
The accommodation comprises three cottages that are close enough together to enjoy the gardens, terrace, pool, studio and communal dining area. Whilst each property enjoys its own discrete areas for dining and relaxing, so that every group can enjoy their time together with the option to find a quite corner.
