We stayed at this wonderful cabin from June 6 through June 11. Cabin was neat, clean and lacked for nothing. Wonderful quiet time in the mountains. I spent every morning listening to the birds sing as they moved throughout the woods. Had a date with the fireflies each night. David is a wonderful host contacting us during our stay to be sure we had what we wanted. Want to return during another season when we can see through the woods Thank you David for a wonderful stay.
Thanks for the Review, I enjoyed your family staying at Jake's Cabin.
I enjoyed our conversations, and I fill that I have known you a long time. I have been blessed with the Guest that have stayed, your family fit right in, and I hope you felt welcome. I'm looking forward to your return.
Thanks, David Gilliam
A place to get away from it all
Great place to get away from the pressure and remember how good it feels to be in the mountain countryside again. Reminded me of my granny's place from childhood. The owner is great, friendly and helpful and welcoming. I would have given the property a strong 5 except the road traffic was a little more than I expected and utility crew tree trimming was going on all week. I would definitely rent again though and recommend it to others.
I knew that the power company was working in the neighborhood, they were trimming the power right of way. The power company only do this about every 6 years. I was disappointed and I'm sorry about the noise. Some of the traffic was the workers, and I think some traffic was detoured from the flooding at Bat Cave.
I always make sure Guest have my phone number, and to call if you need me, maybe I could have spoken to the workers, they might have skipped the part around they house. I know that you had planned these days and was looking forward to the stay, I would have worked with you, if I had known. I know that I can't change everything, but I can somethings. I think I called one day to see how everything was going, It might have been before the workers were working at the house.
I want every person that stays at Jake's Cabin to feel that if they need me Just call! I appreciate all guest and try to make it a awesome stay. Thanks, David Gilliam
Very nice... quiet and serene
Secluded spot tucked away
David has a quaint little cabin in the body of the NC mountains that is perfect for a trip. Within 30 minutes of Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, and 45 minutes to Ashellville, it is a snug spot off the beaten path that is still close enough to main destination points.
Hi John and Angel,
Thanks for the review! I like young adults who are polite and respectful. I knew when I met you that you would fit right in at Jake's Cabin. You were a pleasure and I enjoyed your stay.
Very homey and peaceful
My sisters and I enjoyed this place tremendously. It is kind of off the beaten path but that is what we like. We enjoyed it so much we have booked it for the fall for a week.
We love this cabin. We were here last in the fall but it is just as beautiful in the spring.
Comfy charming cabin in a beautiful setting. Lots to do all around. The owner is so nice and welcoming.
Thanks for the review, I feel like I have known your family for a long time. People like you make it a pleasure to have in Jake's cabin. I've been renting since last July, I have met a lot of really nice people, and you are Tops! Thanks again, you are welcome anytime. David Gilliam
