We have stayed here twice now and it so quiet and off the beaten path. Cozy, warm and feels like home. Not far from Ashville, Marion, Burnsville and Old Forte. The owner of the cabin is super nice and had apples and cookies left on the counter for us. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Just absolutely perfect, if you want secluded this is the place to be. David was an amazing host. The cookies he provided were an added bonus. Will definitely stay again if in the area!
Quiet yet an adventure.
My kids really enjoyed the stay. My five year old kept asking if we could stay there forever. A rustic cabin, no bells and whistles, but cozy. Really enjoyed the trip. Went into Asheville twice, Lake Lure twice and Bryson city once for Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, all easy day trips. David was very helpful and friendly.
Very pleasant stay, homeowner David Gilliam was very hospitable. Looking forward to returning soon.
Property was secluded and quiet. We had a wonderful time. Cozy and yet private. Thanks David Gilliam.
wonderful place and stay
David really took care of booking our stay ! If you are looking for a place that is clean and has everything that you need this is your cabin. It is close to many of west Carolina places of interest that day trips are possible. David will make your stay one to remember.
This place was perfect! Immaculately clean and secluded and David, the owner, couldn’t be any nicer. It’s secluded and quiet, but close enough for day trips. You couldn’t ask for a more perfect place. We are already figuring out when we can go back! Thank you David for your kindness and generosity. What a legacy of welcome and kindness Jake has left behind.
Hi Sara, Thanks for the kind review. I have enjoyed all the travelers that stayed in Jake's Cabin.
I would be disappointed if one person or family paying good money, and fly or drive short or long distances, excited to enjoy a vacation and not get it! I will do what I can to make it happen. Thanks for this moving review! David Gilliam
