Amazing!

So happy I found this amazing beach house. My three teenagers, my 6 yr old, and myself had the pleasure of staying here 2 nights. The layout of the home is amazing and we felt right at home. The access to the non crowded, beautiful beach is pretty much right across the quiet street. We can’t wait to plan our next trip here. Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay here.

Review of beach house in Rockaway

The weather was great & we did use the heater in the am. I'm learning to ask more questions regarding where bedrooms are located & how high the ceilings are in the bedrooms when looking into vaca rentals.

Nice place

Overall, this is a nice place and we had a great time on our visit. The cottage appears to have been recently remodeled, was clean, and had the most important things we needed for a nice stay. The location is good, just a hundred yards from the beach, though a large motel blocks the view. A few things that would further improve the place would be (1) getting some better pots and pans that aren't damaged, (2) adding some lights to the night tables in the small bedroom so the light can be turned off from bed, (3) adding a hook to the bathroom so that 4 towels can be hung to dry, and (4) providing some instructions for how to dispose of trash when the pail is full. These are relatively minor fixes that would make an already nice place even better. We'd come back to this one, even as it is.

Labor Day weekend

Absolutely loved this place! Can’t say enough great things about it. The house was perfect for me & my husband. Great space, location and accommodations. Clean, updated, close to the beach, great location for everything (ie market, tourist attractions, restaurants, pubs, etc.) wWe will definitely be back to stay here again!!!

Adorable cottage - excellent location

This little cottage was perfect for our family of 4 (although a 2nd bathroom would have been nice but there's clearly no room for it). The location is fantastic (literally steps to the beach and to restaurants/shops) and the next best thing to actually being beachfront. A lot of the other houses in the area don't have any outdoor space so it was such a bonus to have the patio area to hang out on and enjoy some downtime.

Beach house bungalow Rockaway Oregon

This is a cute small beachy older home. Good cable TV and internet access. Since it was a working vacation internet is a priority for me. Easy beach access. I had a hard time sleeping there the beds are uncomfortable and the outdoor lights from the hotel across the street blared into the house, and it’s right next to a train that shakes the whole house. Also it’s not set up very well for meal preparation, its fine for a couple of nights but my stay was two weeks and I like to cook for myself. I’m not really sure why you are advertising for this listing because the owners use Vacasa and I think I had to pay for your service and theirs, so that really added to the cost.

Awesome location cute updated heritage home

This house is cute as a button. Updated with all the modern conveniences and decor. Beds were very comfortable as well as the furnishings. Had everything we needed and more. The location was absolutely perfect! Will be back again for sure!

Nice getaway

There’s no cable the listing states no cable but the TV instructions stated there is cable. Slats on bed were fallen so we slept in the low bed in other bedroom. Overall nice stay!

Incredible and cozy!

The house is the perfect size for a small family. It’s a two minute walk to the beach. The beds are comfortable the recent remodel gives this 1920’s home a modern feeling. Great home! We will be back.

Simple and clean.

This rental was simple, yet clean. The beds were very comfortable and it has easy access to the beach and town. The keypad was not working, but there was a backup key. There is a musty, mildew smell that never went away and was a little bothersome. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

Cute Cottage - Great Location

This property had the BEST location across the street from Rockaway Beach. Though it doesn't have ocean views, the beach access is within a few yards. The cottage is very cute downstairs, but the upstairs bedrooms have very low ceilings making it difficult for the person on the right side of the bed to get in and out. Though not a problem for us, the sole bathroom is downstairs. We did have some issues with access - had to call to get the code reset so we could gain access, could not open the washer door and had to unload the full dishwasher from the previous guests. Considering we had to wait for a 4:00 PM check in to ensure deep cleaning, it was a little annoying to have to immediately deal with the dishwasher. Also, the paperwork in the cottage said it had its last deep clean on 8/9...looked like it was ready for another one. Overall, the cottage was wonderful...it just looked like it has a long summer season! We would go back though, so that's saying something about our overall happiness with it.

Large family vacation

We booked this property kinda last minute and I was a little concerned. We were traveling 8 hours with 6 kids under 9. When we arrived I was delighted to see the house! The outside was clean and well kept, there is an outside space for the kids to play, chairs provided and off the road parking. When we went inside we quickly found that there was everything that we needed at the house! Extra pillows and blankets, plenty of towels, a whole closet full of games, toys and DVDs. Even as a family of 8 this house was perfect for us! We were not cramped, the kids were well entertained and the beach was a 30 second walk across the street. I highly recommend this home and will be coming back again!

Hidden gem in Rockaway Beach!

This property is well-maintained and adorable with a great location near the beach and the main strip of the town. The outdoor patio and front porch were nice places to relax. My teenage daughter and I enjoyed our getaway and liked the proximity to Manzanita and Cannon Beach for day outings. Sunsets on the beach every night were a highlight and we liked that it felt less crowded and earthier than some nearby towns.

Fun Beach Getaway

Cute little house for a couple days at the beach! Quiet neighborhood, a half block from the ocean and a half block from the main street/downtown. Easy drive to most of Oregon Coast's attractions. Best fit for a small family or couple.

Awful experience!

These are the issues we encountered at this rental: The rental license expired in June, 2020!! The batteries were dead in the automatic lock. The towels, folded and in the cupboards, were still very damp. The washer and dryer were full of wet sheets....not ours. The pots and pans are old and were dirty. The stovetop and fridge door were dirty. The lightbulbs were out in the kitchen and in one of the bedrooms. Bedding (comforters, etc.) were wadded up and piled in the only closet in the main bedroom leaving not much room for clothes. We were not comfortable at all with the level of cleaning basing it on what we could actually see. This is especially troubling with COVID concerns. We would have left had we not been there for our son's wedding and couldn't find anything else on short notice. Awful experience!
