The apartment is set within the premises of an 18th century finca, completely restored and enlarged by one of the most notorious architectural designers and environmentalists of the island in the early 70s of the last century in the Cesar Manrique style that made the island famous.
It has recently undergone significant renovations and adaptations aimed at modernizing it, although preserving its unique character.
Located within a walled land of almost 7,000 m2, the villa enjoys stunning garden and ocean views and is located minutes from the airport, with the main touristic attractions and famous beaches within easy reach.
The architecture of Las Pergolas reflects that of the island, influenced by its climate, where white predominates.
The carbon footprint of Las Pergolas has been significantly reduced by extensive recourse the most abundant resource in a desert climate. The sun is used for both, the production of photovoltaic energy (with accumulators) and hot water for domestic use, aiming at energy self-sufficiency. The constant climate of the Canary Islands, characterized by mild winters and pleasant summers (making them also known as the islands of eternal spring), paired with thick ancient rock walls, allow the villa to maintain a rather constant and pleasant internal temperature, with no need for energy intensive heating or cooling systems.
