About Steven Mansfield

I am originally from Massachusetts and moved to California 30 years ago. I am a local dentist (Prosthodontist) and work in the city of Napa. Most weekends I can be found either skiing, motorcycling, or playing golf or tennis. My east coast roots shine brightly as I am a 'die-hard' ice hockey enthusiast.

Steven Mansfield purchased this house in 1995

Why Steven Mansfield chose Sonoma

My professional life as a dentist brought me to the Sonoma/Napa Valleys 30 years ago. I was fortunate to have purchased this idyllic location in 1995 and raise my two daughters here.

What makes this house unique

My Sonoma home remains very much the same as it was when we lived there and thus you should experience a very 'lived in, homey' feeling while relaxing in our home.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Such a wonderful place to call home for a few days as we celebrated my sisters 50th birthday. Thank you! amazing home! I was sold when I saw that oak in the backyard!

Beautiful, wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I stayed here for my best friend's bachelorette party weekend. The weather was perfect while we stayed so we enjoyed chatting outside in the large backyard and using the hot tub. Steven was responsive and super nice to communicate with. There was plenty of room for all of us and all of the rooms were spacious and clean. We went to a few wineries a day and then ended up coming home early just to be able to spend more time in the backyard and enjoy all of the space together. Honestly, this place was so nice and really made the entire weekend so enjoyable! I kept telling my friends that I don't think the pictures do it justice, it is really even more beautiful in person! Would definitely love to come back if I am ever in the Sonoma area again.

Secluded Retreat for Larger Group

  • 5 of 5

Steven's place was ideal for our group that wanted to get away and enjoy Sonoma. It was secluded in the foothills of Sonoma Valley and just a short drive to downtown and wineries. Highly recommend Steven's place if you and your group are more than 10 people and looking for a nice relaxing place to stay. You can also enjoy Steven's hot tub, that was very relaxing even if it was raining a little.

Sonoma home away from home

  • 5 of 5

Large house and property--bright, clean, and cozy rooms. Feels like a once-very-loved traditional family home. Private location, but close to a number of wineries (uber drive away) and the town square. Hot tub is a fantastic addition. Highly recommend!!

Overall nice property.

  • 4 of 5

Comfortable home, wonderful location and charming atmosphere!

Kitchen is outdated. Middle burner on stove top seems to be partially blocked! Pots and pans need upgrading! Bathrooms , while functional, would benefit from new shower heads.

I would return and plan to during the summer!!

Owner's Response: Thanks Bill for your comments and concerns about the kitchen and bathrooms. Should be easy to address. I should also note that all of the kitchen appliances have been upgraded to new Bosch premium appliances within the past 3 years.

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely time at this beautiful and well-appointed home. The house was comfortable and was even more beautiful -- both indoors and outside -- than the photographs capture. It is located in a lovely and quiet setting and it is only a short drive to the center of Sonoma. The owner was helpful and responsive to questions. I hope to return!
