About Julien Bruno
We used to work for international organisations and we have lived on many different continents before coming back to France after we retired. We have 3 grown-up children and 7 grandchildren. We settled in Uzège in 2011. We can speak English and we have a passive knowledge of German and Spanish.
Julien Bruno purchased this Mas in 2011
Why Julien Bruno chose Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie
We bought the domain to make it our family property after travelling the whole world. Our goal was to gather our children and grandchildren in a convivial and comfortable house. We chose this region for the sunny weather, the beauty of the landscapes, the historical past of the place, the many cultural sites, and the easy access (it is close to motorways, TGV train stations, and airports). It is a tourist region which kept all its authenticity. We fell in love with the property which has plenty of character, is located in a splendid setting, and has great potential for our family project. The vineyard on the property would allow us to revive our family's wine-growing tradition.
What makes this Mas unique

We had 9 lovely days holiday at this beautiful property. The location is wonderful and the facilities such as the pool and tennis court were great. Our hosts Bruno and Monique were charming and nothing was to much trouble. The kids loved the place as did we and we look forward to returning next summer.
We were a family of 9 people and 3 generations and every one of us had a wonderful time.
The house is beautiful and the surroundings are perfect for anyone who wants to be away from it all in idyllic countryside yet not too far from town.
We spent our days walking in the woods, shopping in Uzes, playing tennis, swimming in the pool, playing pétanque or wandering down the little country lanes. It was the perfect country holiday- we couldn't have wished for more. Every one of us was sad to leave and there were tears on departure.
The best of it all was our wonderful hosts Monique and Bruno; some of the nicest people one could meet. They made us feel at home, relaxed and comfortable and left us wanting for nothing. They were amazing with everyone, even the littlest of us. And a big thank you to Arthur and Capoucine as well for making us feel at home!
We leave with warm and fond memories of our stay in Castelnau and feeling very privilege to have been able to stay in such a wonderful place

Superb tranquil house in excellent location
We had an utterly delightful stay at Castelnau. Hosts Bruno and Monique could not have been more accomodating ensuring that we were confortable and had everything we needed during our stay. The apartment is huge and occupies one of the wings of the stunning house - it was very well furnished and decorated with all the mod-cons. The grounds of the house are truly beautiful with plenty of space to roam around. The swimming pool was a welcome retreat but the true piece de resistance was the tennis court - an incredible hard court with great views. The local area is home to some fantastic attractions and scenery - the local village of Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie has a couple of excellent restaurants, we particularly like La Cuisine du Boucher. The real jewel of the area is the medieval town of Uzes which has a great market on Wednesdays and Saturdays and there are a number of excellent boutiques and restaurants. We highly recommend a visit to the area and staying at Castelnau.
