Welcome to the magical forest cottage Lotus!

The forest cottage is located in a wooded rural setting and has its own entrance. It is a place where time may stand still for a while, you can enjoy beautiful walks in nature. In the evening, it is great to relax with a drink by the pellet stove or relax in the authentic barrel sauna, heated with a Finnish wood stove.

The charming cottage is surrounded by tall trees and nestled in the natural landscape of Oud Rekem. A village known as the most beautiful village in Flanders, where you immediately feel the authentic French ambiance.

The accommodation has two bedrooms and can accommodate four people. There is a well-equipped kitchen.
The cottage is surrounded by a garden where you can enjoy the peace and quiet and the singing of the many birds. In the evening it is lovely to relax with a drink.

It is located in a wooded rural area and has a private entrance.

Vaak gaan wij naar een boshuisje om tot rust te komen, maar is het dan na 3 dagen ‘ook wel weer lekker’ om naar huis te gaan. Hier hadden wij dat niet: alles klopte! De rust, ruimte, sauna, de heerlijke bedden en de ruime bank waar wij 2 avonden heerlijk een boek op hebben gelegen. De smart TV waardoor we makkelijk achtergrond muziek konden opzetten vanaf onze telefoon en ook nog even de Olympische spelen hebben kunnen kijken via de app. Het was fantastisch!

Het boshuisje in Rekem was zeer gezellig. Op 5 minuten van het huisje starten enkele leuke wandelingen. We verbleven er met een baby van 11 maanden. Handig dat ze haar eigen kamer had. Er was een eetstoel en een reisbed aanwezig. Dit moesten we dus al zelf niet voorzien. Door de pelletkachel konden we overdag de leefruimte goed opwarmen. Je verblijft echt in een oase van rust, ideaal om de herfstvakantie door te brengen!

De ligging op het einde van een doodlopend straatje, vlak naast een prachtig uitgestrekt natuurgebied (Hoge Kempen) was heel fijn. We genoten van de barrelsauna en de houtkachel en palet kachel binnen. In tegenstelling tot huisjes die we elders al eens huurden was er meer dan voldoende brandhout aanwezig. We vergaten iets mee terug naar huis te nemen. Dit werd bij de eindschoonmaak gevonden en naar ons opgestuurd. Telefonisch- en mail contact met Specialstays verloopt heel vlot. We gaan over een paar maanden terug dus dat zegt genoeg :)

Erg fijn dat de eerste benodigdheden aanwezig zijn: Toiletpapier, afwasmiddel, koffie . Zelfs aan shampoo, crèmespoeling en douchecreme is gedacht. De tuin is echt een fijne plek. Genoten van de vogeltjes en eekhoorntjes. Wakker worden met een fluit concert …

Het Lotushuisje is een supergezellig plekje om helemaal tot rust te komen. Het is heel leuk ingericht, de aanwezige koffie, thee en keukenkruiden zijn echt een meerwaarde. Het huisje ligt helemaal aan de rand van het park, dit geeft veel privacy omdat er amper voorbijgangers zijn, maar het is wel een eindje stappen naar de ingang.

Afgelopen weekend heb ik opnieuw genoten van een verblijf in het prachtige huisje Lotus. Het huisje biedt alles wat je nodig hebt voor een ontspannen en comfortabel verblijf. De sfeer is heerlijk rustig en het huisje is tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Ik wil de verhuurder nogmaals bedanken voor de snelle en soepele communicatie. Alles was perfect geregeld, van de boeking tot aan de extra services die het verblijf nóg aangenamer maakten. Dit soort persoonlijke aandacht maakt echt het verschil! Over twee weken ben ik er weer! Ik kijk er nu al naar uit om opnieuw te genieten van alles wat Lotus te bieden heeft. Tot snel!
