This attractive traditional stone built villa nestles in the valley below the lovely village of Fayence in the heart of Provence, SE France, 45 minutes drive from Nice Airport. The house has the advantage of coolness from the thick stone walls in the summer, combined with modern appointments and facilities. Relax in the covered outdoor kitchen / dining area, with built-in barbecue, stone sink and fridge, overlooking the large and inviting heated pool with 6 super comfortable sun loungers and large umbrella. Snooze in a 4 person Mexican hammock slung between trees in the garden.

Outdoor kitchen/living area - covered with a vaulted roof, this is where you live in the summer, close to the built-in barbecue, stone sink and beer / wine fridge, and overlooking the pool.
Large heated pool (11 x 6m) mosaic tiled pool and brand new patio surround with 6 ultra comfortable sun-loungers, umbrellas and tables.
Garden - about ½ an acre of grassed/treed area with hammock.
Parking - there is sufficient parking space for a number of cars
Young Children: Please note that as the pool is unfenced, the villa is not suitable for families with very young children. The pool has an alarm complying with French regulations

Séjour en famille et entre amis

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour de 15 jours en juillet/aout. La maison provençale est typique, bien agencée et pratique. Elle est localisée en retrait de la route d'accès, donc pas d'impact de la circulation. La cuisine extérieure et sa terrasse couverte est un grand atout, juste à côté de la grande piscine (chauffée à 29°c). Vue sur le village de Fayence, pas de vis à vis, voisins très discrets. Quelques avions de tourisme pour planeur et parachutisme passent à proximité de la maison (aérodrome de Fayence) et dérangeant certaines après-midi en fonction de la direction du vent. Mais globalement, nous recommandons la maison et l'endroit.

Belle villa calme et confortable

Très beau séjour dans cette belle villa au calme. Le descriptif correspond bien à ce que nous avons trouvé sur place . Voiture ou vélos (attention : Fayence se situe en haut d‘une colline!) indispensables pour les courses ou les balades. L intérieur est propre et la maison bien équipée, comme il se doit pour une maison de vacances. Le jardin est très grand ainsi que la piscine qui est accessible directement depuis la terrasse. Cette dernière dispose d‘une cuisine d‘été très appréciée. Les propriétaires et la personne en charge de l’entretien (voisin) ont été très prévenants et facilement joignables si besoin. Nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir !

wonderful traditional villa with fantastic in door and out door entertainment and dining space. i regularly stay here for a relaxing break after the madness of cannes film festival and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a home away from home vibe with the addition of hot sun, a fabulous pool and gorgeous surrounding countryside for walks or bike rides. That's not to say its all peace and quiet, the surrounding villages have a plethora of music festivals and activities, there is a fantastic farmers market with to die for rotisserie and a great choice of places to dine out. There also a supermarket, bar and tabac a short stroll away. you are well looked after by the couple next door who oversee the villa should you need any assistance otherwise you have complete privacy and the owners Lyndy and Dom are really great to deal with - very hands on in ensuring you have everything you need for your stay. The villa is well kept, clean and homely - its also fantastically well stocked with the added bonus of a super comfy lounge with TV for lazy / recovery nights :) i am a totally lazy fat busting sun worshiper when i come here and it totally rejuvenates me before heading back to the madness of my working world - i fully intend to book again this year and it cant come round quick enough!

Great Retreat and Child Friendly

This is a really cosy, but deceptively large villa, set near a real gem of a hill town that is easily less than an hour's drive from Nice. Easy to find too. The place itself has a lovely authentic, rustic feel but has all the 'mod cons' - TV, video, internet, - necessary to keep the kids happy at the end of the day. It is a really easy place to relax in. We spent most of our time by the pool, or playing with the kids in the private garden (which is sizeable, so plenty of opportunity to get some private time too). A big plus was the brick barbeque area near the pool with a covered dining area and fridge. It meant we could cook and eat out every night. Great for when we had friends round to visit. We've been back, so recommended.

We adore Provence, especially our village Fayence, which is the second of 5 Roman villages along the ridge above our villa. 10 minutes away is the beautiful Lac de St Cassien, great for a cool swim in the summer. An hour to the South are St Tropez and a selection of beaches. An hour to the North is the spectacular Gorge de Verdun. Fantastic local roads also make for great cycling. We are also in the middle of Rose country where you can sample for free in many local wineries.

Provence in the summer is all about the outdoors, and an outdoor kitchen, BBQ, living area and pool are all essential. We have a well equipped outdoor kitchen with a fine in-built BBQ, dining and living area. The 10 x 5m mosaic pool is heated and has recently been reconditioned. 6 super comfortable sun loungers surround the pool on a spectacular terrace with in-ground lighting. The house itself is very well equipped, and all the beds are ultra comfortable.
