Super clean modern property in an excellent location. The management was welcoming and the property is in top notch condition. It was everything we wanted!
Our American family of 5 very much enjoyed our recent 8-night stay at the Kamogawa House! The house is in a great location -- just around the corner from the bus stop, Family Mart & Demachiyanagi rail station. The house itself is very peaceful and nicely designed, which is so nice to "come home" to after full days of exploring and adventuring. The beds were comfortable, A/C worked well, and we loved the tranquility of the small garden outside on the main floor. The only issue we had was with the washer/dryer, which, despite accessing online help and help from the host, we couldn't really figure out. It ended up ruining a few pieces of clothing which was quite disappointing. That said, Feby was very quick to respond and did have someone come over to clean out the filter and try to assess the issue. Communication and responsiveness were great. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Kamogawa House!

Japan Experience
My Family really enjoyed our stay and it was a true Japanese experience. The living and kitchen areas are a little small but other than that it was great. Just would cook meals for a large group. The ramen recommendation just around the block was great. Loved staying here.
Our stay at Kamogawa House was nothing short of wonderful. This beautifully designed home blends modern comforts with traditional Japanese aesthetics, creating a serene retreat in Kyoto. With three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, the layout was perfect for our family. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom were especially helpful as my mother-in-law had injured her foot and couldn’t use the stairs. Upstairs, the shower and bath experience was truly divine—exactly what we needed after long days exploring the city. One of the highlights was enjoying tea while taking in the fresh air and peaceful garden view. After navigating Kyoto’s bustling streets and crowds, this quiet moment felt like a luxury. The house was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, making our stay incredibly comfortable.Located in a charming and quiet neighborhood, Kamogawa House is just a short walk from great restaurants and a nearby subway station, making it both peaceful and convenient. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and will absolutely return on our next visit to Japan.
