Great location; lacking attention to detail

  • 2 of 5

This studio is well-located for exploring Paris, just a short walk from many of the highlights and close to multiple convenient public transportation options. There is a charming bakery a few steps away, as well as many restaurants and 2 Franprix grocery stores. Cassandre arranged for her friend Ingrid to meet us, who was fluent in English and kindly accommodated our timing requests. The wifi was very reliable.

The space itself was smaller than we anticipated based on the photos. It would be more comfortable with 1 person, but felt cramped with 2 of us. There was no place for us to unpack our things, so we ended up leaving our bags in the loft and pulling them down as needed. The place also lacked some basic amenities that surprised us - notably toilet paper, extra towels, and a place for garbage. Additionally, there was mildew in the shower as well as a smell coming from the drain. We were assured the smell was not dangerous, but we ended up buying air fresheners since the space was so small and the smell was noticeable throughout. While we still enjoyed our time in Paris, we would have appreciated more attention to the issues outlined above.

the best location I could have asked for!!! I will stay there again on my next holiday. Has a loft bed accessed by a ladder and the sofa converts to a very comfortable bed. It's small compared to the states but has everything u need. By again the location makes it worth it all.

excellent

  • 5 of 5

Back again! Absolutely fantastic. I love the neighborhood, the Marais. Very hip, and busy, busy, busy. Lots to see and do around, and the metro is just a block away! My host, Cassandre, is also great, as she feels one in with all the hip places to go to and best addresses. Apt. been redone and is even better than before. Well done Cassandre! I will keep coming back!

excellent

  • 5 of 5

The location was ideal, in the heart of the Marais. Cassandre, my host, was wonderful., very helpful with all her detailed explanations of the various ethnicity in restaurants (Thai, French bistros, Japanese, Jewish, etc.) nearby, as well as museums and shops. I loved the apartment: small but compact, it has every one needs from dishwasher to washing machine. The bedroom is small but the bed easily accomodates a couple and another can sleepon on the convertible couch.for Both my friend and I appreciated the quietness of the apartment and yet once outside it is a bustling neighborhood. I have stayed there many times and have no qualms in recommending it!

Hyper-central

  • 5 of 5

Au moment du réveillon, passer une dizaine de jours dans ce petit studio "cocooning", en plein centre et au pied du métro pour les Champs-Elysées, était une occasion parfaite de visiter Paris au meilleur rapport Qualité-prix.

Map

Car: not necessary

In the heart of the historic Marais and the Marais 'trendy'

opposite the famous magazine 'Bazar de l'Hôtel de Ville', the location is ideal for shopping. There are also all the small shops and food nearby: Bourg Tibourg the street to the nearest grocery store (with among others the famous tea house 'Mariage) / archives or street Rue de Rivoli for other small supermarkets. On Sunday, the neighborhood becomes pedestrian and it is the only district of Paris whose businesses are open. Many bars and restaurants adorn the tourist life both day and night when the area is still very much alive and safe. The oldest part of Paris houses Mansions and the most magnificent museums. This is also the place of extraordinary rides thanks to the proximity of the other side of the Seine and its quays, Church St Gervais (200m), the island St Louis or Notre -Dame 5 minutes. St Michel and the Latin Quarter are accessible by walking just 10 minutes. St Germain des Prés or other side of the Royal Palace, the Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre are within a 15-minute walk or 2-3 stations metro stations (line 1), the studio is at the foot Station City Hall '. A little further, still on line 1 of the metro or a half hour walk, are the 'Concorde' and the legendary 'Champs-Elysées'.
