Halcyon Days - a lodge that sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms

Welcome to Halcyon Days - a large 3 bedroom Detached lodge, ideal for a large family coastal holiday in arguably one of the finest locations on The Bay Filey holiday village - with pool and beach access included.

Halcyon Days is located on The Meadows - an exclusive gated development on The Bay Filey and really close to the lake and amenities this is a popular road and really family friendly.

Take advantage of the two large parking spaces and deck and then enter through the step free door into the hallway with storage for shoes and coats. To your left is the master bedroom with kingsize bed and ensuite shower room with private deck, and next to this a double room with en-suite and private deck. Finally there is a twin bedroom with en-suite and private deck area (with patio doors).

Off the hallway to the right is the large open-plan kitchen / dining / lounge space with comfy sofa(s) and large SMART TV (with Netflix, amazon prime, Apple TV etc - bring your own logins). Exit through the large bifold doors to the spacious deck with family seating, ideal for alfresco dining or sitting out whilst the children play outside.

There is a large outside deck with external shower and tap - ideal for washing boots and dogs after a day of fun!

We leave a few games for our guests to use. The log burner and central heating makes this beach house warm and cosy for breaks all year round.

-Price includes bedding and towels for each guest, high speed wifi, and all energy use (fair usage policy applies)

This property is part of The Bay Holiday Village and all bookings gain direct beach access, unlimited use of The Bay Filey Indoor Pool, Baby Pool, Sauna, Steam Room and Gym. Some amenities are chargeable locally like food and drink, tennis and any activities operated by Away Resorts such as Archery and Crafts.

Stunning Beach House

Lovely place

Great little place, a real gem, spacious and well facilitated set within a secure gated section(fob access). Comfy with all the bedrooms en suite, great outdoor decked areas with furniture, has a really nice ambience. Only slight observation wish the fob to that gate entry could be collected from reception.

Beautiful lodge, cleaning standards could be improved

We've stayed multiple times at The Bay in different accommodation. This lodge was very stylish and had everything needed for a pleasant stay. Our only feedback would be the mattress in the far bedroom was very soft and felt worn, also the cleaning standards were less than expected with hairs in all of the bathrooms and kitchen worktops felt greasy to touch.

Thank you for taking the time to do a review and we are glad you had a pleasant holiday. We are sorry about the issues you encountered and note you didnt call our 24/7 number as we would have come round and sorted within the hour. We have spoken to the cleaners and the kitchen worktop was due to a new member of staff putting too much product on the worktop which can leave an apparent greasy residue. The mattress will be looked at by the new owners and remedied - again had we known there was an issue (and nobody else has reported this) we would have swapped this using our stock mattresses for new. Please if you stay with us please do contact us when issues arise as we do say we will always put things right if we got things wrong but its hard to do when you have left feedback in a review. We look forward to hosting you again soon.

Easter break

We had a lovely 3 night stay in the Easter Holidays. We have been to Filey Bay many times at various properties but this was our first time on the meadows. It was a great location, lovely and quiet but not to far from everything. The accommodation was great, nice size, furnishings and everything we needed. Only problem was the mattress in the main bedroom, it's too big for the frame so one of you ends up on the bar and it wasn't the most comfortable sleep. Other than that a great stay.

Lovely stay

Halcyon Days is an absolutely stunning Lodge/ House. Size wise it’s perfect for larger families to share a home for a break but Halcyon Days feels more than a holiday home, it feels like you want to stay well beyond the 3 nights we booked over New Years. It has everything you could want and the owners are obviously proud of their home and rightly so. It’s modern, spacious, clean and in a great location on The Bay Filey. We will definitely be staying again we loved it that much. Special mention to Anthony at AB Holidays, all communication was great and any questions we had were answered pretty much immediately, which I find rare when booking with other holiday management companies so we also highly recommend AB Holidays

Beautiful accessible house in quiet location

We loved our stay at Halcyon days. It was everything we could have wanted. Well stocked, very accessible for my disabled mum and 90 year old dad, extremely clean, and very quiet and private, on this gated area of The Bay. It's the third time we've booked at The Bay, first time at Halcyon Days and we'll definitely be back. Just want to give a massive shout out to Anthony who always responds to us immediately if we need anything/can't find anything. And he keeps his patience with us when we can't see things that are right in front of our noses . Thanks Anthony for all your help. We all can't wait for our next stay. Jaqui x
