The Space:

Old School House is a detached stone cottage, three miles from Longnor in the Peak District. With one lovely king-size double bedroom with an en-suite roll-top bathroom, the cottage can sleep two people. An open-plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a woodburning stove. Appliances include an electric oven and hob, microwave, under-counter fridge/freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher. For entertainment, there are two with Freeview, DVD, and WiFi. Outside, there is off-road parking for two cars plus secure bike storage and an enclosed patio garden with furniture. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent (fuel for woodburning stove not included). 2 well-behaved pet is welcome, but sorry, no smoking. If booking is within 24 hours, please contact Sykes to confirm availability.This property does not offer electric car charging facilities. This property is suitable for adults only. Fuel for the woodburning stove is not provided



The Neighborhood:

The charming Peak District village of Longnor is situated in beautiful countryside on the Staffordshire Moorlands/Derbyshire border, with the River Dove to the east and the River Manifold to the west, making an excellent touring centre. The village boasts a pub, a shop, a Post Office, a sweet shop, café tea room, fish and chip shop, and a beautiful church. The historic market square is cobbled and a scale of market charges is still posted on a board outside the market hall. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, the Spa town of Buxton with its famous Opera House, the attractive market town of Bakewell and Alton Towers theme park are all within easy reach.
