Sleeping up to 4 guests across 2 cosy bedrooms, it’s perfect for family holidays, romantic getaways, and contractor stays. Enjoy easy access to Northumberland’s stunning coastline, local cafés, restaurants, bars, and scenic coastal walks for the perfect relaxing seaside escape.



The Space:

Our stylish 2-bedroom coastal cottage comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests across 3 comfortable beds, making it perfect for families, couples, business travellers, and contractor stays in Northumberland.



The property features a fully equipped kitchen with everything needed for home cooking, a cosy and modern living room ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the coast, and a full family bathroom with fresh towels provided.



Located in the heart of Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, you’ll enjoy a comfortable home-from-home experience just minutes from the beach, local cafés, restaurants, pubs, and scenic coastal walks along the beautiful Northumberland coastline.

Standard check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out is no later than 10:00 AM. £15 per hour for late check-out or early check in options, subject to availability. Maximum 12pm.

Getting Around:

Newbiggin-by-the-Sea is easily reached via the A189 Spine Road, offering direct access from Newcastle, Morpeth, Ashington, and surrounding Northumberland coastal towns. Free on-street parking is available nearby, making the property ideal for family holidays, weekend breaks, and contractor stays.

Approximate drive times:



Newcastle – 35 minutes

Morpeth – 20 minutes

Alnwick – 45 minutes



By Public Transport

The nearest train station is Morpeth Station, with direct rail connections from Newcastle, Edinburgh, and London. From Morpeth, guests can take a short taxi ride or local bus service to Newbiggin-by-the-Sea.



Regular bus routes also connect Newbiggin-by-the-Sea with Newcastle, Ashington, and nearby Northumberland towns, making it easy to explore the stunning Northumberland coastline without a car.



Whether you’re planning a relaxing seaside getaway, coastal adventure, or work stay, our cottage offers a convenient and central location near Newbiggin Beach and local attractions.



Other Things to Note:

- NO SMOKING INSIDE: We kindly request that smoking be avoided inside the premises. Any indication of smoking will incur a fee of £300 for odor removal, duct cleaning, and furniture cleaning. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.



- We do require a separate short term rental agreement to be signed directly with us and a pre-arrival form filled prior to your stay.



- LOST KEYS: If keys are lost, a £100 replacement fee is required.



At Vacant Nests, we’re dedicated to ensuring our property is protected throughout every guest stay. To provide peace of mind for both owners and guests, we require all guests to either have a £400 fully refundable security deposit hold placed on their account or purchase a £40 one-time Accidental Damage Waiver, which covers up to £500 of accidental damage during the stay.



Interaction with Guests:

Interaction with guests will be via booking platform messaging app unless there is an emergency where the host will respond to you via call. Please make first contact via app otherwise we may not pick up your enquiry.
