Sitting quietly above the rural fringes of Yaverland, The Hillock looks out over Sandown Bay - private, slightly elevated, with the kind of outlook that makes the rest of the island feel distant. A completely reimagined house, the renovation has been thorough and considered — shaker cabinetry and herringbone tile in the kitchen, ticking stripe and natural linen in the bedrooms, two generous sitting rooms across the ground floor. The coastal path begins at the drive, Yaverland Beach is a short walk away, and the long promenade toward Shanklin unfolds beyond.
