Willis House is located in a safe, older neighborhood, with tree lined streets and deeply shaded yards. Great shopping, city parks, and the University of Illinois are a short drive away. You are close to a lively downtown area that has many great bars, restaurants and live music. The neighborhood is very quiet and inhabited by long term home owners who look out for each other. Our home is heated/cooled by central heating/air and boasts wonderful original hardwood floors throughout much of the home. There are 2 public golf courses locally: one in Urbana and one in Savoy out by the airport. A short 10 mile drive away is the Lake of The Woods County Forest Preserve in Mahomet, which also has a golf course and a beautiful 900 acre park for a picnic or walks. Our first floor welcomes you with an entryway and curving staircase to the upper floor. There is a living room, office and half bath off to the right. The living room is big and roomy, with a couch and 2 side chairs plus a TV. There is a fireplace but it is not usable at this moment. The office has a large desk, should you need to work from home. On this floor is also a dining room table that comfortably seats 6 plus a high chair. There are folding chairs in the front hall closet should you need them. In the newly remodeled (2022) kitchen you will find everything you need to prepare a meal: stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, plus plenty of dishes, utensils, pots, Keurig, drip coffeemaker, etc. The west wall of the dining room is windows that look out onto the enclosed porch with 2 couches. Outside on the patio is a table with an umbrella and 6 chairs. The fenced back yard is deeply shaded. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms that will sleep 9 people. Each bedroom has a full length mirror. The master has a king bed, a crib, closet, TV and comfy chair. The master bath contains a shower, sink and toilet. The upstairs hall built in cupboard contains 2 air mattresses and bedding. Please let us know you will need these so we can leave the cupboard unlocked. There are 2 more bedrooms each with a full bed, dresser and closet. Through one full bedroom is access to an area that was refurbished into the 4th bedroom (freshly painted in 2022) and includes 3 twin beds, closet and dresser, perfect for the kids. This room has a window air conditioner. There is a second full bath in the hall that has a shower/tub, sink and toilet. In the basement is a washer and dryer. You are booking my home with a stated number of guests and beds. We do not allow outside visitors or parties at the property. The garage has a Tesla car charger and is where you will find a charcoal grill. You may park in the drive or on the street as signs allow. Parking in the yard is not allowed. Normal outside noise is permissible: soft music, laughter, children- but we ask that you observe a 10pm curfew for noise. We ask that you bring pets that do not soil indoors. Paws should be wiped clean with paper towels going in and out and ask that they do NOT climb/sleep on furniture, especially our white bed linens. There is pet stain/odor remover available for accidents, as well as a pooper scooper to clean up potty. We provide many basics for short term stays: trash bags, dish soap, paper towels, Keurig pods, sugar, creamer, salt/pepper, toilet paper, shampoo, body wash, hand soap, facial wipes for makeup, laundry soap pods, dryer sheets, kitchen hand towels, oven mitts, plus one set of bath towels per person. The vacuum, mop, and basic cleaners are also available. If you will need anything extra, please let me know and we will try to accommodate! Beautiful home! perfect spot for our family with plenty of space. Awesome neighborhoo.
Beautifully decorated and very clean. Also loved the nice little touches of extra amenities. Owner was very responsive and provided a great place to stay. Would definitely rent again.
This is a great property! It’s beautifully decorated and served our need for a group of colleagues in town for a conference. Looking forward to staying again next year!

Great guests, the house was left in great shape. Will definitely host again.
The property was a very peaceful stay. Owners were attentive and responded promptly throughout our stay. The neighborhood was nice and quiet as well. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Even though it was too cold to enjoy the sun deck, I’m sure it’s a treat in the summer months.
This is a beautiful house in a lovely walkable neighborhood. The huge kitchen is gourmet and the dining room is a wonderful setting for a family meal. It was cold when we stayed but would love to enjoy the screened porch.
We enjoyed our stay at the house. The main level was expansive and worked well for our group. The bedrooms were warm at night and a couple of the beds were uncomfortable but not overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.
Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. The house was clean and it fit the description on the listing. The sheets and towels smelled nice. The host was very responsive. I would highly recommend this property to families. There’s lots of parks nearby and a fenced in yard.

Thanks Amy, I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Stay safe and healthy.
Lots of room and very nice. Older house with lots of upgrades. Owner was quick to get back about questions and requests. My only complaint was that the house should have been cooled down before our arrival. Air conditioning was turned off when we checked in. It took several hours of running the air conditioner to make the house comfortable.
This is a great house!
We stayed w/ another couple for the MI @ IL football game (they have a daughter at IL / we have a son at MI) … and it was the perfect spot!
The living room and sunroom were PERFECT gathering spots for 4 ppl, and the kitchen was sooo nice for tailgate food prep (sizable and nicely renovated.) This house is also in a VERY nice neighborhood; tree-lined streets and lovely homes. Also had a lovely fenced in backyard.
Lots of vintage charm in this old house which we loved. Highly recommend this property if you’re planning a Champaign wknd!
Beautiful historical home in quiet neighborhood and close to school
My sisters, my mother and daughter visited my other daughter at UofI for the week end. We had such a great time. Kitchen and porch were awesome places to gather and the dining table welcoming. We cooked together and just hung out this incredible house. A gem! My only recommendation is to install a key pad for entry.
This house is beautifully decorated, very comfortable and perfectly situated in a classic tree-lined Champaign neighborhood. It's a great place for a large group. The owner is very responsive and easy to work with. My only complaint is that it wasn't clear to us how expensive this place would be up front. With fees it ended up being $500 a night which is expensive for Champaign. But a great place overall!
My family stayed in the Willis home Labor Day weekend for a wedding at the venue. We enjoyed the location - getting to & from ‘town’ The house was spacious enough for all 5 or us and wax stocked with everything needed for a weekend stay. Our only complaint is the box springs on both of the full size beds were extremely creaky! They should really be replaced to allow for a good nights sleep.
Got the whole Illini family together here for a football weekend. Large house with plenty of room and great kitchen. Quiet neighborhood. We wished it was a little warmer to enjoy the patio.
This house was perfect! We were in town for a short weekend but wanted outdoor entertaining g space - the table outside was perfect! There are three nice sized rooms and one room with three twins! This house is great for one or two families. Highly recommend and great location!
It is very nice property. Clean, updated and comfortable. Instructions where very clear. The location was perfect, quiet area and easy to get to places in town. I would recommend this place to friends and family.
