High in the Derwent Valley, Hornbeam Cottage is nestled just above the village of Blanchland and offers a truly peaceful getaway. Nature lovers will enjoy a visit to the nearby Derwent Reservoir: designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a Geopark, and offering fishing, watersports and walking routes surrounded by moorland, England's largest waterfall and plenty of wildlife. The Coast to Coast National Cycle Route is nearby, and riders will appreciate the nearby bridleways. Those more interested in village life can visit the picturesque Hunstanworth and Blanchland, while the town of Hexham is 11 miles away, with plenty of shops, restaurants and entertainment options.



The barn has been converted to a high standard and sleeps up to five people. Located on the ground floor, the lounge is the perfect place to relax with its comfortable seating, TV/DVD, radio/CD player and books, and the cosy kitchen/diner is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, plus a dining table that seating for all guests. There is also a downstairs WC. On the first floor, you will encounter the bedrooms: one double, one twin and one single for accommodating five guests. The three bedrooms share a bathroom with shower over bath and WC, plus a separate shower room.



Outside, guests can enjoy the use of an enclosed gravel courtyard shared with the other cottage, complete with garden furniture.
